Advice: Purchasing my first AP
So I have zero background in APs, as I have always been a Rolex / Panerai owner for a while. I have been looking very closely at a AP Survivor being sold at watchuwant - I just love the aesthetics of the watch in every way. My wife says it looks like a casio g shock and thats what I want, something that can be easily confused for a 99$ watch by some and recognized as a amazing watch by a few. I realize this is about post is extremely general and I hope you excuse me for my ignorance. I have parsed through several topics but I just wanted the more experienced AP ROO guys and if possible guys that own the Survivor to give me some of their thoughts and opinions relative to comfort as a daily watch, resistance to damage, scratching of the coating, resale, or anything else that would be relevant to understand before I swipe a credit card. Patek 5235g HELP NEED ADVICE!
Hi all this is going to be my first PP, I was torn between this or an AP elephant. I wanted to get some PP EXPERT advice. What is the Pre-Owned price on this piece and I hear PP no longer makes this model. Does that make it more collectible? How much should I expect to pay for this watch? Are they hard to source on the preowned market? Finally any idea of service costs and if I get bored of it can I easily sell on? Is there a demand for it?Cheers good sirs!MWAS
Would or wouldn't you
I currently have a 5127R, which I use as my days off piece and a 5167A for work and swimming etc.As I suspect with many of us the hunt can be more fun then actually achieving the goal. For the past few months, I have been looking to get something else. And my choices have varied from a Rolex Day Date, FP Journe, Lange & Sohne and also back to Patek Philippe. With the Patek I was looking, as per a previous thread to get a 5146P. But a preowned piece are few and far between.Recently I saw a 5146R being sold by a grey dealer here in the UK. Now I have always loved R/G and the 5146 was the first Patek model that I owned. The price of the watch was reasonable. So I contacted them to see if they would be interred in doing a trade against my pieces. I half expected them to come back and say yes and that they would offer X amount for mine and I would have to make up the difference in cash. But much to my surprise they offered me 2,300 more for mine then theirs. Which would make a nice chang
What effect will the DJ41 have on the value of the DJ2
Are the DJ2s still made? If suspended, are they more valuable? Or are they so common that it doesn't matter?
