Out of warranty
Hello everyone,My 5167 is having power reserve issues. I'd like to bring it in to Henry stern, but it's a little less than 3 years old and out of warranty. Has anyone had a similar situation, and did HSWA honor the warranty, even though it expired 10 months ago?If they don't honor it, I'm thinking of going to war with them because this is the third piece I've brought in for service within the past year; I had a similar power reserve issue with my 5711 and the pushers weren't working on my 5164. Thanks for your help!Ian
390 on rubber pics
Hi allSwapped straps today, still prefer the leather strap as it matches the tobacco dial better. Still nice to have the option and the rubber should be comfortable in the warm weather we are going to have in the UK this summer (!)Some comparison pics below - enjoy! Happy Easter!CheersAnujSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Which yachtmaster
Looking to get a yachtmaster I've decided it's going to be the platinum dial. Question is should I go for a late M or a V serial with the older style clasp or a random with a newer style clasp. The question isn't clasp I like them both doesn't bother me which one, I seem to have the habit of flipping watches after a few years not found the one just yet apart from the Daytona and the yachtmaster these are the two I haven't owned what's going for the yachtmaster is the date which I use a lot.
A year on the wrist - a reflection
I've had my Explorer II 16570 that I bought used for about 14 months, now, actually. I've worn it virtually every waking hour - I enjoy wearing it that much. I don't polish it, because the scratches look cool. Crystal and timekeeping are holding up great. What really inspired me to share this sentiment, though, is that I've been looking at prices on this model and it's appreciated. Wearing this watch every day has actually brought more value into my life than I originally invested in it on paper. Every man (or lady!) should experience one - you deserve it! Go Rolex!
Opinion: looking for SS Daytona offered TT
I have been looking for a SS Daytona but the only offers I have, is to go on a long waiting list. An AD who have dealt with in the past has offered me a choice of two TT Daytona. One with the black face with gold secondary dials and the other with a gold dial with black secondary dials. I am far from knowledgeable on watches. My question is, would a TT on the resale market be worth at least the same as the SS?
