Breitling Cosmonaute Automatic Chronograph Limited Edition Watch
Another retro themed watch from Breitling? Who'd have thought it? The brand we love to love, but that itself hates the Internet (just visit their website and you'll know what I mean) brings us a new watch with the Breitling Cosmonaute Automatic Chronograph. Sort of an overly simplistic name if you ask me, but I like the whole connection with space travel. Interestingly enough, the watch has the word "cosmonaute" (cosmonaut) in it that I at least associate with Russian astronauts, but the watch is meant to celebrate an American feat. So what exactly is going on here in the Breitling marketing department? It used to be that watch companies mostly focused on the American space industry, but now you have an incredible shift in focusing on the Russian - and to smaller extent Japanese - space programs. I believe it is because Omega has the US market cornered with the Speedmaster Moonwatch, and Russians are buying watches like mad (and will again as soon as the economy?? rounds itself out a b
AP Diver using internal bezel
A few say the internal bezel is hard to use on the left wrist, and although I agree nothing can beat an external bezel for turning ease, the internal on the ROO Diver is not that difficult. For anyone who is on the fence about it I thought I would do a video to show its not hard to turn and set.youtu.be/HFyOpMhBS2I
Good Experience at HSWA New York
Not belittling anyone's negative experiences, it just seems that people only post when they have negative experiences, and not positive ones, myself I have had good experiences with the Patek service center in NYC. Went there today with my Annual calendar, it's an older model and the clasp was a bit loose, very courteous and friendly staff, they sat me down in a private waiting room with some nice magazines and Swiss chocolate. They said they would have the repaired while I wait, and that they would pressure test the watch and make sure the oils and seals were good and that it's keeping proper time, I was in and out in about 15 minutes total. Could not have asked for better service.Fortunately my watch is running well, no need for service, as the woman helping me mentioned that since the service times are currently about 8 months, she would recommend waiting until I have any issues before servicing, and that hopefully by the time I need service, the wait times will be shorter.
Patek 3970 moon question?
Does anybody know why some of the pate 3970 white gold or platinum versions have yellow gold moon and some have white gold? Also, is it possible for Patek to change the yellow gold moon to white gold or are they strict regarding this.Any insights regarding this topic would be greatly appreciated.
Trying on my Grail,
I know it's not for everyone's taste and many people will say no to leather bracelets on a Rolex, but I'm pretty sure I've found my grail today. I think the 36mm proportions wear really well, and the watch was well balanced on my wrist. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
