Never Meet Your Heroes: Finding a Heuer Carrera 2447S
They always say never meet your heroes'. The same often applies in Watchworld. That gorgeous IWC Portofino you thought was the pinnacle of refinement and gorgeousness turns out to look like an oversized Christmas chocolate coin on your wrist. But sometimes it works out.I've had an obsession with anything with an engine since I was old enough to peer under a car bonnet or look into a watch case. The two things have always sublimated into 1960s and 70s Heuers.Collecting vintage Heuers is only a slightly slower route to the poorhouse than vintage Ferraris, so I'd always avoided getting behind the wheel and just looked from afar. Hands-On: The Zenith Heritage Pilot Caf Racer, A Pilots Watch Inspired By A Biking Subculture
The Heritage Pilot Café Racer is the latest entry in Zenith’s famed collection of pilot watches, and on paper it’s a great addition with its own spin on the genre. But this particular pilot's watch is inspired by a wingless machine, ridden not flown, on long ribbons of concrete. The Café Racer was a hybrid motorcycle, and the symbol of a timid movement led by Britain’s thrill-seeking, blue-jean-wearing youth in the '60s. Gathering at cafés – the kind with a liquor license and a jukebox filled with good tunes – they’d race lightweight bikes such as the T

Pam 028
Hi guys,I wanted to ask the Pam experts here, what price is a good price for a 028, the 1000 limited edition from 2009?I have it in almost new condition, just minor scratches where the screwdriver touched the case to change the straps, other than that it is spotless, full set bit and papers.I am selling it and would like to sell it in less than 10 years so would really appreciate if you could tell me what would be the optimum price, for me and for the buyer? Thanks in advance
