I am still counting up the times Burberry uses the terms "heritage, tradition(al), craftsmanship, innovative," and other similar adjectives brands commonly use when describing their new creations. In fact, most of the Burberry Britain watch press release is actually just a list of adjectives. Even when they describe the timepiece itself they use mostly adjectives to describe it. Consider me impressed - this document ought to receive some type of award for its incredibly elegant lack of substance (however it does have a fully operational set of tech specs). Sinn 857 Watch
I just got finished using a German proxy server to trick Sinn's website into thinking I was viewing it from their homeland. Why did I do this? To get the price of this new 857 collection watch for you. Sinn apparently uses geo-locating to protect their prices from being viewed by potential buyers outside of Germany. Probably because those prices vary from country to country. Nevertheless, I am still going to tell you the prices as that is only fair.To my knowledge Sinn hasn't hard-launched the new 857 and 857 S watch collection yet. Though, the pieces are right up there on their website. These are a more simple version of the existing 857 UTC models which contained a small central GMT hand. What the 857 really is however is an upgraded and larger version of the 657 and 657 S - a watch I proudly own but simply do not wear any longer as it is too small. Hi all, I have asked about this elsewhere and the verdict wasn't good.However the Ms is still smitten. So hoping for some advice as to whether it all seems right for the model and year?MsMaker would like a watch to wear on occasions and going out. She has a bimetal Datejust purchased earlier this year but has a hankering for a solid yellow gold watch. Visiting an AD this week we saw a gold DJ in a nearby jewellers. We have used this jewellers before and found them to be pretty good in the past. Unfortunately we were pressed for time (me trying on lots) so didn't look at the watch closely, only in the window. I can find similar models cheaper/dearer online but we prefer to buy from a local (ish) shop. So basically what should I look for in particular on this model if we go back to look at it, are there any known weak points or problems?
