SalonQP 2014: An Ever-Personal Encounter With The World Of Horology
2014 marked?my second attendance, and more importantly, the sixth edition?of the British watch exhibition called SalonQP, held at the Saatchi Gallery in London. Last year, in my comprehensive article about the event, I?referred to it as a "most personal exhibition of fine watches, remarkable brands and astoundingly difficult crafts," and I was curious to see how things had evolved from one year to the next. To my surprise, there have been some interesting developments, with some of the?core values remaining the same. The 6PM start of the first day did allow a quick hike in the Hyde park C on the wrist is the Citizen Signature Series Grand Touring Sport. Before we get to discuss the changes, let's see what was unchanged for 2014. The Saatchi Gallery is still every bit as beautiful of a venue as it was last year, and?it certainly lends a most suiting atmosphere to the event. The event was again a three-day affair, with the first day opening at 6pm, with a so-called cocktail reception. The
MB&F HM3 Poison Dart Frog Watch
DISCLAIMER: Contrary to the name of this MB&F timepiece, making skin contact with it will not result in you being poisoned with deadly venom. That is what would happen if you started handling actual poison dart frogs (though I believe you would have to bite into a few of the safer ones to get poisoned). Which is sad, because they are really cute little creatures. I totally want to travel to South American jungles and witness first hand the petite deadly amphibians hopping around on the jungle floor. In this case, Poison Dart Frog is the name of the latest MB&F limited edition HM3 Frog watch. While I haven't been counting, it does seem that MB&F has been releasing a few more limited edition watches lately. The boutique brand's growing success gives them the ability to tackle more projects. I've written extensively on the HM3, HM3 Frog, and related limited editions. Just search aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer for my previous articles as there are too many to link to in this article

Speedmaster accuracy
I've had my Speedy for about a week now, and am thoroughly enjoying it. I do have one concern. It is runnning about +9 seconds fast per 24 hours. It is fully wound every 24 hours, and I've tried different overnight positions- dial up, down, crown up, down etc. I am used to my Rolexes being very accurate and I realize that the Omega is not COSC certified, but is +9 casue for concern? Thanks for the help.
114210 Air King bracelet - Hollow links?
Hello everyone,New comer here with a newbie question. I was in Tourneau today and a 114210 Air King caught my eye. When the sales person brought it out, it felt much lighter than the current production 114200 oyster perpetuals. The person said that the Air King has hollow links. Is this correct? I thought Rolex used solid links after 2000s. Based on the serial number, this was produced 2006/2007. Thanks for the info.
