AP Schumi Laptimer Concept Video
Hi Guys,Just want to share this youtube video I found in watchestv youtube channel. If you watch it towards the end, the CEO of AP, Mr Bennahmias also mentioned the upcoming AP in-house ROC which will be launched very soon. I am hoping for a 2016 SIHH launch, fingers crossed.
Waterproofing capability with an unscrewed crown (ROO)
Hi guys,Appreciate some opinion here. Earlier today, I went swimming with my ROO on and crown unlocked! Just swimming at the surface, no more than 1m and for only about 10 minutes. It did not appear that there was any water ingress to the naked eye after considerable squinting. Also placed the watch in the fridge face down, to lower the case temperature as I was thinking if there was gonna be any condensation, I should see it. Nothing turned up either. My question is: With the crown not screwed down, is there a basic level of water ingress protection built in? I was googling earlier and understand that Rolex has this protective device though not officially acknowledged. Any of you guys have similar experiences to share or perhaps know the insides of the watch well enough? If it helps, its a F series Black Themes. Thanks for reading.
Poll: Patek 5930 Worldtime Chrono
A simple poll. Do you like or not?
Great Service at Panerai Service Center in Dallas?
I've seen quite a few threads on the net about poor service and damaged watches from the Panerai Service Center in Dallas, and mixed in those threads are a few positive comments here and there. Just wondering if this is a case of 'the squeaky wheel gets the grease' type thing. Has anyone had a goor, great or excellent experience with the Panerai Service Center in Dallas? I'm interested because I just bought one with an in house movement and don't have other service options so I'd like to get a feel for what I can expect. Thanks,RogerSent from my iPad (so I blame autocorrect for the spellin' errs)
How big is my wrist?
A lot of people ask questions about if XYZ watch fits an X wrist. Out of interest I thought I'd post a couple of images and see if people can guess my wrist size. The Submariner is my watch and the Daytona is one I tried on, which hadn't been sized.
