Raven Defender Watch Launched Via Kickstarter
Wea?ve covered watches from Benarus and Raven in the past, and now Raven has taken to Kickstarter to launch the Defender, a new model with an unexpected design and decidedly strong value proposition. While Raven, a sister company to Benarus, is generally known for making nicely priced homages to watches like the Rolex Submariner, the Raven Defender is an entirely different concept that blends the easy-wearing charm of a field watch with the functionality of an aviation derived dual-crown design and the specs of a Benarus dive watch. The Kickstarter campaign runs until mid November and allows Raven to offer a considerable discount on a wide variety of case finishes and multiple dial colors. The Raven Defender uses a 42mm case in either steel (your choice of brushed, blasted or DLC black) or brass. The Defender is 11.5mm thick with 20mm drilled lugs, sapphire crystals front and back, and 300m water resistance. The Raven Defender is characterized by an expansive dial and internal bezel tha
AP safari
Hello everyone. I've been looking for my next purchase and was dead set on a Daytona until I saw the AP safari 44mm. I'm thinking of buying it from a member on the forums. However, I have a 7 - 71/4 inch wrist. No AP AD's near me. Anyone have any pictures of a 44mm AP on a wrist of my size? Also are they tuff wearing with a dress suit and shirt? Seem big. Thanks in advance!
Servicing 806 navitimer?
Incoming 806 navitimer, curious the best place to service. Does busa work on 60s navitimers, or better to send to an independent?
Excellent 1st Father's Day!!!
My first Father's day and the wife surprises me with an excellent gift... First she gets me cuff links with watch movements on them saying she couldn't get me a watch...... Then I come back in the room and there's a box... In it from Fr. John's AD... My new PO 8500 in 45.5mm!!!! Since I'm new to these auto watches and Omega in general here's my first couple questions....1) Is the minutes hand supposed to be a different color than the hours hand, it looks bluish2) I just started wearing it today after getting it sized at a Boutique (another about that), if it needs to wound how do I know it does and how do I do it!!!Pics will be posted soon!!!
Patek ... respect!
I am very new to high quality watches, I just bought a Rolex 116610LN few weeks back, it was the first time I went over $500 for a watch. It was bought for a life achievement and it already is one of the coolest purchases I have ever made, meaning... I simply love it.I just want to tell you guys, you collectors/owners, that I salute the brand Patek Philippe, totally admire it, and love when you guys bust out the wrist shots. However listen up! I am a few years away from my 50th birthday, and each one of these wrist shots adds fuel to a future fire that I may not be able to control when that day arrives, so go easy on me ok... (KhalidSS you listening!) In all seriousness though, Patek Philippe represents (IMHO) the best of the best, and to own one is in itself a life achievement.Cheers!
