Thomas Prescher Nemo Sub I Watch Is Steampunk Submersible
Late night e-mails from German-born Swiss watchmaker Thomas Prescher are always interesting. This is the man who has brought us the first triple axis-tourbillon and who really epitomizes the concept of independent watchmaker. Always inspired, the newest watch by Mr. Prescher is his most impressive and ambitious project yet. Called the Nemo Sub I, this is perhaps the most interesting new watch of 2014, and is likely to stay that way. What you see is a mostly sapphire crystal case that is meant to look like a steampunk submarine dreamed out of the work of early science fiction writer Jules Verne. This is also the third in a series of "Nemo" watches, inspired by the Captain Nemo character that is featured in Verne's Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea and The Mysterious Island.? This watch journey began with the simple (for Thomas Prescher) limited edition Nemo Sailor in 2012 and later more complicated and also limited Nemo Captain tourbillon in 2013. For 2014 the two first pieces are to
View Cartier Manufacture Movement Watches In America
I had Cartier make this image for me because it was the best possible visual for the event. With Cartier getting really serious about amazing in-house made movements and complications they are sending a set of the watches on the road in the good 'ol US of A for us to see. The Cartier road show is coming to a city near you. Can you spot some of your favorite Cartier manufacture movements?? There is a glut of tourbillon watches, and my favorite, the Cartier Astrotourbillon. Can you name them all?You won't have to in order to check them out. If you want to view the collection of beautiful, technically interesting, high-end, and not to mention rare, Cartier manufacture movement watches, look below at a list of Cartier boutique stores near you for the dates that they will be there.-Cartier, Michigan Avenue, Chicago, Illinois oSeptember 30th through October 6th-Cartier, Fifth Avenue, New York City, New York oOctober 8th through October 16th-Hyde Park Jewelers, Cherry Creek Shopping Cen
Incoming!! Didn't think I would but...
I have always hoped of owning a Patek one day. Could not be more excited. In fact, this is the most excited I've been with getting a watch. Picked up a 5726. Absolutely love the dial symmetry. Now the wait begins ugh. Had it shipped out of state. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Big dilemma...
As some of you may already know me, I have a 7 piece collection, 3 Pams, 1 Blancpain, 3 Rolex, and my latest piece the PP 5712, oops sorry that makes 8.Anyways I am also realizing the fact, as another distinguished member here, that fewer is better, so basically I am skimming down my collection to 2 or 3 pieces, of course my 5712, Rolex sub LV that I should get soon, and for the 3rd piece am hesitating, either keep my Daytona 116515 in RG, it's a beautiful watch but for me to put on very limited occasions, the lack of date is a serious hassle for me, or get an aquanaut, love the RG but can't afford it before a very long time having just gotten the 5712, well in fact after flipping all my watches sure I could afford it, but having already 1 watch worth 27.000 euros is something I never thought would happen so having 2 would be quite a shock, so let's say the 5167 SS, in any case I wouldn't buy the PP before quite a long period as I don't want to buy something which I don't really want a
