Montblanc is the Official Timekeeper of the 2010 Belmont Stakes
Montblanc has announced that it will serve as official timekeeper for the Belmont Stakes thoroughbred race on June 5, 2010 at Belmont Park in Elmont, NY. At 1.5 miles, the Belmont Stakes is the longest and most demanding of the Triple Crown races. During the winner’s circle presentation, Montblanc North America President and CEO Jan-Patrick Schmitz will award a Montblanc Nicolas Rieussec timepiece to the owner of the winning horse. Montblanc shares a historical connection to horse racing through its Rieussec-inspired chronograph. As the dedicated watchmaker for Louis Philippe, the last king of France, Rieussec made history on September 1, 1821 when he succeeded in recording the times of all the horses as they passed the finishing line to an accuracy of a quarter of a second. Incoming! 26470ST Vampire!
I'm very excited about this incoming! I have been consolidating my collection and sold 3 watches plus cash to get this one (116713LN, 79220B, TG Autavia 85th)It will for me sit proudly next to my 15400st! One dress / sport, one out and out sport / casual. When it's my turn for the 15202 I think my AP collection will be complete!
SD4000 and BP FF for a ROO Diver?
Hi Gents,I have a bit of an itch for the AP Diver. Would you flip a Rolex Sea-Dweller 4000 ceramic and a Blancpain Fifty Fathoms for the Royal Oak Offshore Diver? I'm comparing used mint condition pieces.I'm curious whether the Diver is truly in another league worthy of me flipping the others.thanks in advance!
Why Omega?
A question: Why did you choose Omega? They are rather rare (I often go weeks w/o seeing one, and I live in a big city). Most people dont -appear- to know much about them, though the ads seem to be fairly common. Just curious why you chose one? I love that they are different. To me, wearing one is like driving a Morgan: Those who know, know. Those who don't, stare.Just curious.....
Thoughts on a 112 trade for a 320 plus cash?
Hi Fellow Enthusiasts,Want to get some feedback. Recent opportunity to trade up for an 320. Would you miss having the simplicity of the 112? Any thoughts on whether the 112 would appreciate now that it's stopped production? Thanks.
