Porsche Design Rolls Out New Watches For Its 40th Anniversary
The Porsche Design Studio, founded by Porsche 911 designer Ferdinand Alexander Porsche, marks four decades this year. To celebrate, Porsche Design is releasing four new watches: a limited-edition model of its very first product, the Chronograph I, and three new additions to its Flat Six collection. The limited-edition Chronograph I features a matte silver-gray case and bracelet, replacing the matte-black color scheme of the original from 1972. Most of the other details remain the same, including the black dial; the type, hands and bar indices filled with white luminous substance; and the red central chronograph hand. It is identified as an anniversary edition by the “40Y” immediately beneath the day/date windows at 3 o’clock. The watch, which is limited to 911 pieces worldwide, comes packaged in a special collectors’ box labeled “40Y of Iconic Products” along with another limited-edition Porsche Design anniversary item, a pair of P’8478 sunglass
Bell & Ross Launches Vintage Collection
Bell & Ross is launching a new collection with two lines: Vintage Original and Vintage Heritage. The collection is an homage to 1940s aviator watches. Legibility is excellent, and the watches have the trademark Bell & Ross look. The collection includes a time and date model (BR 123) and a chronograph (BR 126). Both watches have 41mm round stainless-steel cases. The BR 123 time and date model puts the small seconds and date at 6. The BR 126 chronograph has central seconds, a 60 second counter at 3 and a 30 minute totalizer at 9. The round date opening is at 4:30. Both watches have domed anti-reflective crystals, 100 meter water resistance, and luminescent hands, numbers and indexes. BR 123 is powered by an ETA 2895, while the chronograph uses an ETA 2894.The Original and Heritage lines are differentiated by aesthetic treatments. The Original line is available with black or beige dials and uses natural stainless steel color cases and white hands, while the Heritage line has black
Patek owners I need you help
Today coming out of the mall I found an envelope on the floor with this inside, I'm not sure if it is original or not. If it is original then I got lucky..
Can't hand-wind new BLNR
I'd been wearing my BLNR for a couple of months now, except on weekends. I recently sold and then re-bought a 116610LV, so I've worn that for two weeks. I grabbed my BLNR this morning, and when I went to wind it, the crown just spins without actually winding the spring. Meaning, I unscrew it, it pops out to the first position, and then if you turn it there is no tick tick tick while it's winding, it just spins. I can pull it out to 2 and 3 to set the time/date/etc., but no matter how many times I push it back, it won't wind. It's just been sitting in its box on my desk for two weeks. Is there some reason it should have gotten like this? I hate to send it in for service when it's only 3 months old. Never had this happen before.
Nice shot
Hi guysI'm in love with the 16710 right now and keen on pulling the trigger on one. Already have a few other models with Swiss made dial so wondering if I should go for the tritium dial and hope that it'll age to a nice patina or just go for a newer piece with the Swiss made dial. I'm a newbie here and hope to get some advice on this. Any thoughts? Tks in advance.
