Harry Winston Shanghai Pavilion Watches For China
I normally don't cover boutique openings (so I am not likely going to start now) but in conjunction with the opening of their new Shanghai Pavilion boutique, Harry Winston released not one but five new limited edition models. None of these are novel per se mechanically -but offer some very beautiful interpretations of things we have seen from the brand as of late. This year Harry Winston released their new Premier Feather collection of watches that showcased a unique form of real feather marquetry on the dial. Craftsperson Nelly Saunier delicately produces each dial by hand (about seven hours each) using hand-picked feathers. Some bird's nakedness is your gain with these Harry Winston Premier Feather Limited Edition Shanghai watches that feature stunning red and black feathers. These pieces come in a 36mm wide case lined with diamonds and will be limited to just eight pieces.Ladies win in this round having three limited edition models, but men get something as well (two pieces). Dial damaged during service
Hi!I'm looking for some support and advice in an unpleasant situation. The situation is that I sent my Speedmaster -96 with impeccable tritium dial, not a single scuff on the dial, in for service. Now that I'm about to get the watch back from the service it turns out the watchmaker has not been using a dial protector when removing the hands (he claims that this was due to the hands being pressed to far down by the previous watchmaker for the protector to fit). However, this caused him to damage my dial (and chipping some paint off of the hands) when removing the hands. Now the watchmaker claims that it's not his fault that the dial got damaged etc and blames the previous watchmaker for pressing the hands too far down. The scuffs are not really that noticeable to the naked eye but it's no doubt that my previously 100% perfect original dial is now damaged and will be so. I can understand if I'm being a bit picky but this watch is my most precious belonging.Has anyone experienced anything l

Cracked Ceramic Bezel
So here is what a BLNR ceramic bezel looks like when dropped from approx 5 feet onto an aluminium frame. I may have felt a bit better about it if I'd knocked it on a rusty cannon at 100 feet depth whilst diving for doubloons, but that's not me! Probably only me that will ever notice, so I will live with it for now...
