Alpina Startimer Sunstar Watch
SIHH is becoming a cloudy memory, but just in time there's yet another Swiss watch show right around the corner that goes by the name of "Basel World" - perhaps you've heard of it? While there will be plenty of big reveals done during the show itself, we're starting to get word of some of the new models ahead of time. One that's grabbed our attention early on, is this new Alpina Startimer that's going by the name, Sunstar. Now, if you're familiar with Alpina, you know that they've got quite the range of aviation watches, stemming from the fact that they supplied watches to military aviators in the first half of the twentieth century. That means it's not much of a leap for them to come up with a new model. While I'm not deeply familiar with others in the Startimer line, I do know that the Sunstar is a sharp-looking piece. As is befitting for an aviator watch, the 44mm case is treated to a satin finish (the better to reduce reflections) and is topped with an AR-coated sapphire crystal. Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Magnate GMT Watch
As much as I love GMT complications, I have to say that the name for this one is just silly. "Ball Engineer Hydrocarbon Magnate GMT." Four proper names plus GMT suffix? That said, the watch itself is pretty nice looking. I'm not fond of the Rolex-style cyclops over the date, though some quite like them [Ed. note. You'll see some hands-on images I took with watch here. I believe that the magnifier crystal is actually reverse mounted (inside the crystal) so as not to stick out of the crystal]. The fixed bezel is less useful than a rotating one, but on the other hand it's filled with luminescent paint for a cool look in the dark. The textured and detailed dial has good balance and attains the not-too-busy look a good dress watch. The dark green GMT hand lurks in the visual background, behind mirror-polished hour and minute hands and the signature second hand with Ball logo counterpoise. Overall a good looking watch, with the bulked-up look Ball produces. The bracelet is a variant on the cla
AP Forged Carbon Chrono weight
Does anyone happen to know the weight of the 44mm forged carbon chrono? I'm assuming it is lighter then the AP Diver steel but I want to know how much lighter. Anyone have experience owning both? Thanks in advance

I shall shortly be achieving a promise to myselfAnd getting a 5127R which is currently on a black strap. But I am going to fit a brown strap, but not sure which one to get.Personally, I like the matt dark tan colours. Please show me what you have got
Tudor Cyclops
Does anyone think Tudor will ever revamp a model with a cyclops? Or do you guys think those days are long gone, never to be seen again? I think they have vaporized forever, but there are a couple of models I think it would be cool to see them pull that off with. Just a thought.E-
