Breva Genie 02 Terra Watch With Accurate Mechanical Altimeter
Breva, a new high-end Swiss watch brand that debuted last year in 2013, has just followed up with their second watch release. The Genie 02 Terra follows the brand's first model - which was the Genie 01 Barometer (debuted here). While that first watch was the world's first mechanical weather station because it included a mechanical barometer, the Genie 02 Terra uses the same technology to introduce the first watch with a mechanical altimeter of this type. Once again the brand has teamed up with master watch designer Jean-Francois Mojon for an interesting and 100% Swiss made mechanical luxury watch with an active lifestyle twist. The Breva Genie 01 Barometer and Genie 02 Terra Altimeter operate using the same basic principle to indicate information. Those with an understanding of mechanical instruments know that both barometric pressure and altitude are measured as functions of air pressure. Inside each of the watches are a pair of sealed aneroid capsules. Traditionally made from an alloy
Question for Diver owners
A basic one here but I just got my Diver yesterday so I don't know :)How thight should the crown (both) be to avoid water damage? I don't want to mess up the rubber on the crown by over doing it but at the same time I want to avoid water damage, does it has Rolex type mechanism ( sub and others ) that water won't get in even unscrued? The truth is I don't plan using it for diving but I want to make sure if I use it in the pool or other lite water activities I am ok.ThanksSimon
5167 strap length
Hello all,I am thinking of buying my first Patek, I really like the Aquanaut 5167, good lume, easy to read dial, and from what I have read here, feather-light. I have a large wrist, 9 1/2 inches. How long is the original strap? Will it fit me?Thanks.
Question on a "collectors" piece.
I am graciously falling into a collectors unworn piece from 2004. I think I should buy one similar to it and hold on to the collector and keep it for posterity. Am I being anal or is it normal? I hate to wear it and muck it up when I could easily hold on to it and have a museum piece to keep for a while. Your thoughts?
Sea Dweller Bracelets...
I wore a 93160 for years and years and have nothing bad to say about them...Yes yes I know, many people didn't like them...Thought them cheap, flimsy etc etc etc...Not me...I always thought them to be just fine...But I must say, the bracelet on my DeepSea is a marvel...Why Rolex doesn't use this rascal on all their watches is a mystery to me...
