Laco Watches - Rewriting Horological History Since 1925
Sponsored PostWhat makes a watch luxury'? Is it any timepiece with a significant price tag? UK watch retailer Page and Cooper think not.Managing Director, Jonathan Bordell, founded Page and Cooper on the belief that a luxury timepiece is one of quality and exclusivity, rather than clever marketing and price.Searching far and wide, Jonathan has made it his personal mission to source watches from small scale, independent companies. The likes of which are still operating using age old techniques and methods of manufacture to create well-designed, beautifully made, and often very rare watches.Jonathan has been the catalyst for exposing watches that reveal extraordinary stories and heritage. The latest addition to the Page and Cooper brand are German watchmakers Laco. Established way back in 1925, Laco started out life encasing Swiss movements into German engineered cases.Laco were responsible for manufacturing legendary pilot watches during the 1940s, praised for their precision and reliab
Tissot T-Touch Expert Pilot Watch
In addition to the highly anticipated Tissot Sea Touch, this year will see the release of a mildly redone Tissot T-Touch Expert, called the T-Touch Expert Pilot. Revisions include a different dial and bezel, as well as hands. The new look is themed after traditional pilot watches with the T-Touch Expert's functions, and this branding makes sense.I particularly like the aviator strap version that is also available (as opposed to the rubber that we tend to see as an alternative to the titanium bracelet). It is possible that the Tissot T-Touch Expert Pilot will be available in steel, as the original T-Touch Expert was only available in titanium (in the US that is). The dial for the T-Touch Expert Pilot is available in carbon fiber or matte finished black (each with their own minor differences). I prefer the matte finish for this look, though the small weave carbon fiber isn't bad. I say this because for the most part I am totally over carbon fiber being used in/on watches trend.[ad#image-
Need Jumbo opinions
Have an opportunity to get an older Jumbo. Should I do it or wait for the new one for a little more money?
Chronostop
Hi guys. Any love for the Omega Chronostop? This one is my birth year watch (1969) and the only Omega I'm sure I'll never flip. Please show your Chronostop pics.
Omega Ti/RG Chrono pics as promised [WARNING - Modem Burner]
Hi guys,Between surgery recovery, work and family, I have had no time for photography. Today the house was quiet and I got a chance to take some pictures of my new pride and joy. I really LOVE this watch. It is just about perfect for me and I am really liking it. Anyway, it is the 2294.50, non-ac, titanium case and bracelet, 18k red/rose gold - bezel, hands, markers, pushers and he escape valve. I will try and take more (and better) pictures this week. Anyway, its a beautiful day here for a beautiful watch; have a great rest of the weekend all! -Chad
