Watch Experts Network: ‘Geo. Graham Tourbillon – watch review by ESCAPEMENT’
Angus Davies falls for the charms of the Geo. Graham Tourbillon, a slender timepiece equipped with a micro-rotor and tourbillon. This watch reveals another side to the brand which takes its name from the legendary English clockmaker, George Graham (1673-1751).I always find it fascinating to hear third parties describe my children. At times, I immediately recognise the person they are describing. Conversely, there are occasions when the person they mention does not sound familiar and I struggle to assimilate the person they characterise. On reflection, this is not surprising. I have a professional persona which I present to fellow journalists and representatives from watch companies, but I also have another side to my character which chooses to behave like a fun-loving teenager, quaffing life in hearty gulps.Graham, the Swiss watch brand, based in the watchmaking haven of La Chaux-de-Fonds, has always been synonymous with large cased, avantgarde timepieces. Moreover, the brand has gained
Chopard Manufacture in Fleurier
The dial is just as beautiful: the symbol featuring the sword hands bluish centre and polished 18 K Gold Chopard, it captivates the eye with an explosive combination of 103 brilliant round, 49 pieces of baguette and a single Ruby. Watch Chopard L.U.C Diamond swirl this Lady the calibre of Chopard L.U.C 4t internal. Produced at the Chopard Manufacture in Fleurier and held in Geneva, the manually-wound movement has a number of elements of proprietary technologies, including "Quattro" of two sets of stacked mainspring barrels allowing a 9-day power reserve. The cage tourbillon rotates on its axis once a minute, with the wheel and balance that beats at a rate of 28,800 beats per hour. The balance wheel uses blocks owners of inertia "Variner", a feature which allows the exceptional setting of the rate.
The Wonderful Rado Sintra Collection

CT Scuderia City Racer Review
When we first saw the ContaTempo Scuderia watches at Basel World 2013, we were immediately excited. Consisting solely of large bullhead cases with distinct and thoughtful designs, they managed to standout from the crowd at the world's largest watch fair, not an easy task. The watches appealed to that same part of us that stops on the street when we see an old muscle car or a well restored vintage motorcycle. That part that is drawn to things that are simultaneously masculine and classically cool. Needless to say, we've been eager to get our hands on one for review. But before we get to that, it's worth learning a bit more about the brand and its charismatic founder and lead designer, Enrico Margaritelli. I had the pleasure of sitting down with him for a brief chat a few weeks ago, where I learned more about his history and the motives behind the brand. Watches are a family business for Enrico, who along with his brothers have been in the industry for multiple generations. However, unlik
First AP RO Jumbo or ROO Diver?
So I'm considering buying my first Royal Oak, not interested in any of the chronos, I prefer 2-3 hand watches. I've been eyeing the Jumbo for a few months now and I'm pretty sure that's the one I'll end up with but I just saw the diver and it's pretty fantastic too. It's also $5K cheaper on the used market which is certainly a factor. I know they are vastly different thicknesses but both look incredible.Honestly if there was a blue dial Diver that would probably sway me. Also for those owners out there what can I expect as far as service and robustness? I've read some people have had issues so I want to go in with realistic expectations. Is the JLC movement more or less reliable than the AP?Here are some pics lifted form around here and the internet to add fire...(If they're yours feel free to tell me to take them down)ImageUploadedByTapatalk1443138703.558971.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1443138717.382894.jpg
