Watches NEWS
Back to the Planet Ocean, except this time it's Liquidmetal
For 4 years up until last year I happily wore the previous version Planet Ocean on my wrist. It was a great watch, a design I admired, a watch I assumed would be my grail when it first came out in 2005. To me it had everything, seamaster history, a great design, quality finish and was comfortable to wear. In tribute here it isThen for some reason Rolex consumed the WIS in me and I went on to own and flip every version of the Submariner- ND, SD, date and the Sub C. After buying the Explorer 2 (which I confess to being my favourite watch) the Sub C just wasn't getting any wrist time. The Sub C is far too nice a watch not to be worn and there was no way I could afford to have an object of such value sit in a box, so I decided to flip it. Once I mad e that decision my mind turned immediately to the Planet Ocean. No other watch was in the picture. I went to the Omega dealor and tried on the new 8500 coax PO however I realised that I wouldn't be able to live with the thickness of it so my th
175th pieces
So, after almost a year, how are this pieces holding up their value? Do we have a demand for this pieces? Are they investment worthy? Greta to hear the comments of the ones in the know. Have a great week guys.
Manual Winding
With Patek's manual winding watches like the 5070 or the 3919, can you wind them too much, or do you just wind them until the crown won't go any further? And, is it best to wind them fully each time, or only wind them enough for a day or two?
Collection is Growing: New Tudor
Well, I finally took the plunge on my very first diver this past week. After daily wearing my trusty DJII for the past two years or so, I decided it was time to add something new to the collection. The DJII is a great all-around watch. It's suitable for almost any occasion, wearing well with anything from jeans to a suit. It will always be one of my favorite pieces in my collection, being my very first acquisition (not to mention that beautiful blue sunburst dial). One should be content with having such a beautiful piece as their one and only, but hanging around this forum is a bad influence. Meet my new Tudor Black Bay Blue. Pictures really don't do this reference justice. I know many are fans of the ETA version, but for some reason, I just prefer the straight line text and love the thought of the new in-house movement. This one is definitely a keeper:
16610 LV Question
Evening All,I'm debating getting one of these watches in 2018, and while doing some research into the watch, found photos of two different shades of the green bezel insert from the same article on bobswatches. Are there different production models of the watch which reflect different shades of the green bezel insert? Here's what I mean. The first picture, showing a lighter shade:Here's a second from the same article, showing a darker insertIs this just a lighting issue? These inserts look very different to me. Any thoughts?Best,TASent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
