Casio Sports Gear STB-1000 Bluetooth Watches Offer Fitness Information Plus Phone Alerts
One of the most interesting workout watches so far this year is the STB-1000 "Sports Gear" collection of Bluetooth-enabled watches by Casio. These seem to be an answer to the question of "can I combine my fitness tracker with something that tells me if I have a new text message?" Casio extends the functionality of their existing?Casio G-Shock Bluetooth watches with the features of a fitness watch that connects to dedicated fitness apps on your iPhone (only).Hate the idea of having to charge your watch all the time but feel the need to be constantly connected while running or cycling? Unlike most Bluetooth-enabled smartwatches, the Casio Sports Gear STB-1000 uses a 2 year rated CR2032 battery versus a rechargeable battery that needs daily attention. Sadly the Casio Sports Gear STB-1000 does not feature solar battery charging at this time. Using Bluetooth 4.0, the Sport Gear watches are meant to be worn on your wrist while your iPhone is attached to your body. The watch is able to direct
My A. Lange & Sohne Lange Zeitwerk Watch Article On AskMen.com
How I love this luxury watch, let me count the ways: It has amazing internal mechanics, is totally original for a luxury watch while being extremely functional, and it looks great! What more could I want? Well aside from enough money to actually get one. Starting at about $55,000 I should start saving up. This is Germany's A. Lange & Sohne new Lange Zeitwek watch. If anything, it is a solid way for Lange Uhren to position themselves as a creatively innovative watch makers, in addition to being cream-of-the-crop luxury.?? I've been waiting to write about the Lange Zeitwerk on aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer as I may accompany it with a interview with an A. Lange & Sohne engineer that worked on the watch. Would that be of interest to you? Check out the article on AskMenwatches-dealer via the link below.See my A. Lange & Sohne Lange Zeitwerk watch article on AskMenwatches-dealer here.
AP Diver gained 12 seconds in 24 hours
I just got my AP diver back from the service center last week. I sent it in because it was gaining 15-17 seconds per day. I just checked today and it gained 12 seconds in 24 hours. This seems like a lot for a watch that was just serviced. Is this normal?
Basel, Shmasel...INCOMING!
Well...I guess technically this is a Basel release, just not this year. Been eyeing this one for a while. And truthfully, torn between it and the steel dial. In the end this one just spoke to me. Just works for me and I guess that's what matters in the end.Took some pics to try to capture how magnificent this dial is in the sun...failed, but you get the idea. And yes...I know there are stickers on in the pics. They've all been removed now so the sticker police need not be alarmed. Happy Friday, TRF!
New or Pre-Owned?
Hi all,I have no doubt this has been covered but can't seem to find in a quick search. I am now in a position and committed to buying my first Rolex. I have decided on a Submariner but with only two AD's here in New Zealand I am somewhat restricted with supply. My initial choice is the 116610LN which retails at $12,100NZD but comes down to $10,800 if I take advantage of picking up at airport when I go on holiday (tax off). However the wait time is around 6 months. I am off to the States in Feb and have came across Bobs Watches who offer a large selection of Pre Owned watches. For the same money as the above I can secure a two tone 16803 (1985/6 model) which looks stunning and as good as the current model at twice the money. What are your thoughts on buying a 20 year old watch in comparison to a brand new one? Thanks in advance for all comments.
