Buying AP origins Jamaica
Guys - I am considering buying a previous owned AP Panda which originates from Jamaica. Watch was originally purchased Nov 2012 and appears to have all paperwork and guarantees appropriately stamped and the retailer checks back to 'Jewels in Paradise' who are listed as an AP authorised dealer. My questions are : Is a Nov 2012 watch likely to be a good or bad one Ser no H75XXXXAnything I need to look out for apart from the obvious that it is genuine ? Going to have to sell my Rolex Daytona and an Omega 8500 to fund so I am keen to cover all bases. Finally, any issues with provenance / warranty coming from Jamaica Thanks in advance
Breitling Emergency Model 2
This was brought up in a previous thread but I was wondering if anyone has this model? Or experience with it? I saw it in the AD the other day and was impressed, not by the size (which IS impressive) but the capability. Since it is now dual frequency, 406 and 121, basically anywhere in the world you activate the feature it will be picked up by satellites and quite possibly save your life. I do a lot of hiking deep in the mountains and always carry a satelite PLB with me for a life-threatening emergency, but there is nothing as convenient or as ready as having one on your wrist. I don't own a Breitling, and it is big and expensive, but if I were an Alaskan bush pilot, or forrest ranger, or anyone that spent a great deal of time in the wilderness far from help I would definitely get one of these. IMHO, Way to go Breitling!
Seamaster Chronograph.
What do you guys think of this beauty? I love it! One of the best chronos out there IMO.616YYDJAVJL__SS500_.jpg
PATEK with JLC 920 Movement
I would like some opinions on the design and overall quality and finish of the Patek modified JLC920 slim (full rotor) selfwindingMovement. I know this movement isn't used in any Pateks as it has been replaced by the 240 micro rotor calibre. I am intrigued by this movement and would consider the purchase of a Calatrava bearing such a movement.
Finally back to Panerai after a long hiatus... And am I loving it!!!
Hi guys,Last enjoyed a PAM 164 sometime in 2007 and then a PAM 312 in 2011. Since then I have only had the AP SS Novelty and the Ceramic orange diver with a trusted Omega seamaster which is my daily beater.Owning a new Panerai was not something I had really planned for, however, when exchanging New year wishes with my Local AD we just discussed watches and I said I was thinking of getting a Panerai now but needed something special. I looked on the forums and decided the 587 was the best new Panerai out there.I told the AD of my interest and had them put me on their list. Had since forgotten and did not expect to hear back.Obviously was surprised when then called me saying a 587 had just come in and I had 1st preference over a decent waiting list. I would have had to confirm within 2 days however.Anyways to cut a long story short, I visited the boutique and after trying it on there was no turning back. I did not even take it off to get the stickers removed :-)Since then this watch has b
