Girard-Perregaux 1966 Perpetual Calendar Watch
It is deceptively simple and pretty. I think I actually prefer Girard-Perregaux's use of minimalism over a brand like Vacheron Constantin. This is their 1966 Perpetual Calendar watch with an automatic in-house movement and also a moon phase indicator. A lovely thing in 18k white or rose gold. Don't be fooled by its demure looks, it still costs around $50,000.Read my full article on the Girard-Perregaux 1966 Perpetual Calendar watch here at Haute Living.
Patek 5726 for AP diver
As some of you might know, I had a Patek 5726 on strap that I sold since I liked my 5712 much more and the day and month windows were too small and it was hard to read, so basically that funded the diver.Am I happy with the trade? Extremely happy, I have it only for 2 weeks and I think I rarely feel in love with a watch so quickly, I had a few fears getting it though, the first was the comfort, since I have my 5712 I found it impossible to wear a Pam or Rolex, had 4, BLNR, sub LV and LN and a RG daytona 116515, so since the diver is about the same weight as a sub I feared that I would find it very uncomfortable, to my surprise I find it practically as comfy as the 5712.My second fear was that I wouldn't like it in real since it's a big watch and my big watch period is over, no more 44mm Pams, had 3, but no I got used to it and find it looks great, in fact I seem to love equally both watches, they are totally different, for me the 5712 is a sporty looking dress watch, while the diver is

Aquanaut 5167 on Leather
ive received a few pm's and other requests about putting an aquanaut on a leather strap or nato. while mine spends most of its time on the OEM rubber strap, i do find that leather and nato options can work, at least just to change things up a bit from time to time. i know some purists will scoff at this, but just figured id post some options for those thinking about making a switch. below are pics of my 5167 on the rubber strap, on black leather, on grey leather, on an admiralty grey nato, and on a custom croc strap with cream stitching i had made, which integrates into the clasp.
