Movement Hands-On Series Episode 3: The Revolutionary Eterna Caliber 39
The Eterna Caliber 39 is one of the most interesting developments to come from the modern Swiss watch industry. Although we covered the news about the Eterna?Caliber 39 here some two years ago, we had not heard too much about how much progress Eterna had made with developing the Caliber 39. By early 2015, that has at last changed, and we have seen all major iterations of the Eterna?Caliber 39. It is thanks to this spectacular encounter?that coming up now is the third episode in our unique Movement Hands-On Series. Turns per day question: 2008 Cockpit
I am in the market for a quality watch winder. Would anyone know what the recommended Turns Per Day (TPD) would be for a 2008 SS Breitling Cockpit: 500, 650, 800, 950 or 1300? Uni-directional or bi-directional? Thanks in advance for any info you can provide.
Omega
I have made no secret of the fact that I like Omega watches. I find them to be very robust, exceptionally well built, attractive and comfortable. I have a pretty nice, but modest, Omega collection going right now.I have also made no secret of the fact that I am looking for the perfect watch. I realize it is not necessarily realistic. But I am thinking the Seamaster might be exactly what I have been looking for. Simple, clean, swim proof, attractive, comfortable and lume that lasts all night. Yet even with all that, the blue was kind of getting to me. I love the color, but it can be a lot every day. So I picked up the black as well. I put the adjustable clasp on both and my speedy too. I will actually put the blue one on a black rubber with deployment. But I wanted to have the adjustable clasp for when I do put it back on steel. I love the fact that these watches are all relatively reasonable in terms of price as well.
While visiting a local AD looking for a white, stick DJ, I found this:
I contacted my Omega dealer and it arrived today. At 41.5mm, it is a hefty piece weighing in at 155gms.I'll try to take some better photos over the weekend.Fr. John?
