Marc Michel-Amadry Appointed Managing Director of Sothebys Switzerland
Marc Michel-Amadry has been named as managing director of Sotheby's Switzerland. Mr Michel-Amadry will divide his time between Sotheby's Zurich and Geneva. Sotheby’s said the re-establishment of a pan-Swiss management structure reflects the growing importance of the company’s business in Switzerland and will enhance its ability to provide client services. Michel-Amadry joins Sotheby's from his position as President and Creative Director of Ebel and Concord, two brands at Movado Group Inc. He began his career at TAG Heuer, where he gained international experience working in Singapore managing the marketing of the brand for the Southeast Asia region. He was then appointed to his first senior leadership role at age 31 as General Manager of LVMH Watch & Jewellery, also based in Singapore. Michel-Amadry joined Ebel in 2003 as director of international marketing in charge of international media strategy, advertising, public relations, retail marketing and high-end jewellery b
Watches and F1: The TAG Heuer Formula 1
When talking watches and Formula 1, one name comes up again and again- Heuer, or in more recent times TAG Heuer, and this series would be remiss without at least touching on the contributions TAG has made to both fields. TAG, short for Techniques d'Avant-Garde, made its F1 debut in 1980 as a sponsor for Williams GP, but their involvement in the sport grew soon afterward in 1983 when they co-developed the TAG-Porsche V6 power plant for the McLaren team.A deep professional partnership soon grew between the TAG and McLaren, and when TAG purchased Heuer in 1985, the newly created TAG Heuer brand quickly became McLaren's secondary sponsor behind Marlboro. To market this partnership, the first new release for the TAG Heuer brand in 1985 was the Formula 1- a budget-minded quartz that looked to extend the TAG Heuer name to a younger, sportier market. All of this is relatively common knowledge, however, and I never really paid any mind or took a liking to the Formula 1 until I did a little more

Questions about my '60s Constellation
I have owned this '60s Constellation for several years, but up until I took my Sea Dweller in for service, it didn't get much (any?) wrist time. Too bad... after wearing it for a few weeks I really, really like it (although it is pretty 'dainty' as compared to the SD).What I know about the watch isn't much... this is pretty much it:Stainless case does not appear to have ever been polished, the angles and 'edges' are nice and crisp. The Omega script, the omega symbol, and the little star are all applied on the dial. The crystal is new... I had Kevin at TimeTech (in Dallas) completely service the watch when I got it)... it has a little omega symbol in the center of the crystal. There's a lot that I don't know, including... How can I tell if the dial has been refinished?Does it have the correct crown? What movement would be in this watch?I would be most grateful for any 'answers, that anyone could provide! All the best,RobPS: This thing keeps excellent time!!
Perfect Rolex & Patek duo
Just for fun, lately I've been thinking about what would be my Rolex & Patek duo of choice for life (I don't know why, since I'm not looking to purchase). After much thought I've come to the conclusion that I would pick my SubC Date and the 5712. I think they compliment each other very well and I'm very casual so I dont need a dress watch. Curious to know what TRF would pick from the two best brands in the world imho. Some pics of my duoSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
