Want an extra one and the service centre is quoting close to $4,000!

First post. First timepiece. First AP Jumbo 15202
Hi everyone - this is my first post here, I recently acquired my first ever timepiece! I have been wanting a timepiece since 2009, I went through many phases over the years and almost pulled the trigger on a IWC Pilot Chrono and PAM111. I was in love with AP 25940SK at one point but it was out of my price range. I am quite happy that I didn't and held out for this long. I knew I would be settling for something I eventually would grow out of and I did. My taste has evolved tremendously and through more and more research I become more and more intrigued with AP. Last year I did tremendously well in the stock market so I decided to reward myself. Here is how I narrowed down my choice, i considered a few watches in my price range the 15400st blue dial, 15400OR black dial, 15202, PP 5711a and the Daytona rose gold black dial. Explorer vs. Oyster Perpetual
I will soon be reaching into my wallet to purchase my first Rolex. I'm interested in the Explorer #214270 and the Oyster Perpetual #116000. I have a few questions. Do all authorized dealers in the US have the same price? My local dealer quoted $4,750 (Oyster) and $5,700 (Explorer). Second question--would one of these watches retain it's value better than the other? Any comments on either (or both) watches would be appreciated. Thanks
