What times we live in. Who would have ever thought to see a celebrity endorse a watch company's recruiting efforts. Sure we are all used to celebrities modeling watches, even attending watch public relations events. I even wrote about watch companies like Audemars Piguet making watches for US presidents, who then plug the brand (for charity).Well new ground has been broken, and I would pay good money to learn the buttering up process involved in getting George Clooney to adorn a watch maker's monocle (called a loupe) and lab coat for this photo shoot. Good thing Clooney looks perplexed in this shot, because while I am sure he owns a few Omega watches, he has never had any experience making them or working on them. 15400 vs 5711
Hello all- I am considering getting an 15400 with a silver dial. How does the RO compare in quality to the PP 5711? How does the RO wear compared to the 5711? It looks like it wears bigger but I'm not sure. I had an AP diver which wore a lot bigger than the 5711. I got rid of my 5711 because I found it too subdued for my taste, so if the 15400 has more presence, it will be mine! New Breitling Rubber Strap
Just purchased a new Breitling rubber strap for my Galactic II and couldn't be happier. It is a very soft rubber and fits the watch perfectly. It feels like a whole different watch, much lighter and so comfortable. I ordered the blue to compliment the navy blue dial. I'm taking Mystro's advice and replacing the 22mm spring bars for 23mm. Plan to wear it on an upcoming dive trip to Bonaire. What do you guys think?

18ct gold de ville
Hi. I have not posted for a while but would like a little info from anyone who can help me with an Omega de Ville. I saw this beautiful watch in my AD, it had a brown Aligator strap and gold deployment with 18ct gold case with hour vision.I gotta say I was blown away by it, it was a simple yet elegant watch. very unlike my other watches. I cannot see any reviews or comments about De Ville watches on this forum, can anyone help me please as I would like to buy it if its a good purchase. Thanks Alan
