The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Yacht-Master, a sailors’ watch introduced in 1992, underwent a major facelift recently in both its design and technology. In 2012, Rolex released a version with an Oyster case made of its patented alloy Rolesium, and a cool, blue dial with brushed sunray pattern.Rolesium, a material developed by Rolex and used here in the Yacht-Master’s 40-mm diameter Oyster case, is an alloy of 904L stainless steel and platinum. The bezel, which rotates in both directions and now has a notched ring with 120 gradations, is made entirely of 950 platinum. It has a smooth, sand-blasted finish, except for the raised numerals and indices, which are polished. Railmaster '57 Trilogy - can I swim....?
Never posted on the Omega forum (I've owned a couple of Rolex) but I currently find myself seriously considering one of:Seamaster 300 modernSeamaster 300 '57Railmaster modernRailmaster '57Firstly, I welcome any views or experience from owners or enthusiasts on any of the above. How do they compare in quality and fit & finish to a modern Rolex, perhaps something like an Explorer ?Secondly, I note that the Railmaster '57 has a quoted water resistance of 60m. I am not familiar with the conventions of Omega's depth rating - is this a rating that means you can comfortably swim and bathe or is it little more than splash proof ?I think I prefer the look of the Railmaster '57 to the Seamaster '57 but the depth rating is my main worry.

Ok, I just purchased my first Speedmaster (moonwatch) from DSW My last Omega purchase was a Seamaster pro in 1991My first impression was WOW , Acrylic crystal , matt dial ,easy to read, this watch is a stunner, can't believe I waited so long to purchase one . Early birthday Air King��s first flight
Leaving for a convention with my wonderful girlfriend and we stopped by the AD before catching our flight. I'll get right to it- it was between the DJ41 and new Airking, both just arrived from Rolex and hadn't even hit the case yet. I tried on the DJ41 jubilee and it just wasn't for me. I put on the Airking and she and the salesman both said that's the one! It's the first Rolex I've received as a gift and that makes it so much more enjoyable to wear. We let the AD hold the box until we get back and left straight for the Airport. What a way to kick off our trip!
