Watch Wallpaper: Sport-Specific Watches
Certain watch models are inseparably linked with particular sports. In our December 2009 issue, we presented a gallery of specialized sports watches inspired by activities from yachting to golf to horse jumping, with original photos by ace watch photographer Nik Sch?lzel. Now we present six of these exclusive shots to download for your desktop. Click on the photos for wallpaper images. Chopard’s Mille Miglia series is named after the famous Italian rally for classic motorcars. This 2009 model is suitable for keeping an eye on travel time whether road racing or cruising.Since 2007, equestrians who want to know how fast their mounts are moving could turn to the Longines Grand Vitesse Cavalier, whose tachymeter is scaled for 50 kilometers per hour, the top speed of a galloping horse.Launched in 2007 to coincide with the Mission Hills Golf Tournament, Omega’s Constellation Mission Hills World Cup has a shock-absorbing titanium case, ideal for golfers to wear on
Rolex Updates the Classic Datejust
The Rolex Datejust is perhaps the quintessential wear-it-anywhere-suit-or-jeans watch. On the 60th anniversary of the original launch, Rolex presents the Oyster Perpetual Datejust II Rolesor. The new model updates the classic Datejust design with a 41mm case. Available in steel and either white or yellow gold with a fluted bezel, the Datejust II is waterproof to 100 meters. The COSC-certified movement is designed and manufactured in house and it features a Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. The steel and gold Oyster bracelet is fitted with an Easylink extension link for added wearing comfort. Issue with my 5960/1A
Wellwith the recent bout of Patek watch issues, I guess it was just a matter of time before I am hit.I have a 2015 5960/1A - Annual Calendar Flyback Chronograph Power Reserve and Day / Night indicator which started having this particular issue a couple of days ago:It runs fine but when I pull out the crown to make any adjustment, the Power Reserve automatically drops to empty. Also I have been suspicious that the rotor is not winding the barrel. I have to manually wind the crown to bring up the power reserve indicator. Luckily it is under warranty so will ship off to NYC service center soon but have any of you experienced the same issue? Is there anything I can do to correct it on my own?
In the big scheme of things what's the point of 5960/1A
I simply do not understand this watch or its purpose in fact it makes me quite angry - Patek grand complications have a certain status amongst the watch collecting community. They are aspirational watches, you have to be privileged and in a certain point / position in life to own one and are pinnacles of design purity. The SS 5960 in terms of Patek purity of design misses that mark by a long shot ( the hand design, the hour markers, the thick goggled calendar windows and that mirror surface bracelet are a collection of mismatches - it is a watch made for the masses that really in terms of design purity is very poor. A watch should be as good as it possibly can be and sadly for this piece this is not the case, you may argue certain design features look appealing but as a whole it is not the best it could have been, and that is what I expect from Patek THEIR BEST.I see so many brands dilute their propositions to appeal to broader customers, while this is all good and fine - for Patek I t

What does the market give to these models if I was to move on it? I see them on line from 7-12k used.... Thats all over the map.... Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk
