Among Breguet’s new releases at Baselworld 2015 is the Tradition Automatique Seconde R��trograde 7097, which makes use of the open design of the Tradition collection and includes a new retrograde seconds hand.In accordance with its name, the Tradition collection calls upon the heritage of the brand’s namesake, Abraham-Louis Breguet, the inventor of the tourbillon and the forefather of modern watchmaking. The first Tradition models were introduced in 2005. The key characteristic of the collection is that the workings of the mechanism are visible above the baseplate, without a full dial to obstruct the wearer’s view.The 7097 has a symmetrical layout, making it easy not only to read the time but also to observe the watch’s workings. The bridges for the gear train and the balance wheel are placed to mirror one another in the lower half of the watch.
