Smudge inside crystal looking for advice.
I purchased this watch from a seller in Turkey and it was delivered to Canada today. Trying to figure out if this smudge is condensation from the journey and if that is normal? It is a late 2016 watch so supposed to be practically new and never opened etc. Comes with all boxes and papers. The price was good so if its not a big issue I would like to keep it.
5980/1A blue production numbers
This maybe a long shot but does anyone have any idea on production numbers of the 5980/1A blue? Thanks!
Patek RG discoloration
I'm not sure whether this has ever come up before. My wife owns a ladys 33mm RG Nautilus, say about 5yr old or so, and she wears it as her daily. It has a bunch of microscratches/deskdive scratches and all, but no major dings of any sort. I started to realize one day that it started to look quite YGish, and needless to say when I compare it to new RG Nautilus it is quite yellowish. Now according to the AD, they said its quite normal as the copper mixed in with the RG oxidizes over time changing the hue/color. They claim that a light polish during service should bring the original color back, but I'm one of those against polishing unless really necessary. Does anyone know this for a fact?I have never seen this with Rolex's everrose gold, and I have not owned a Patek RG piece long enough to experience this and at the same time I take good care of my watches. I'm wondering whether having more scratches will expose the RG to more discoloration/oxidation???
