Matt Mullenweg's Bell & Ross Radar Watch
Matt Mullenweg - Photo credit: Sheri Bigelow (designsimplywatches-dealer)This one's for you MattaBlogtoReadwatches-dealer readers know that I don't spend a lot of blog space explaining which watch actors and athletes are currently paid to endorse. I will however discuss watches on the wrists of people I respect and that have good enough taste to choose something nice. WordPress and Automattic founder Matt Mullenweg is also a watch lover. Like many San Francisco and Silicon Valley horophiles, Matt is a bit more private about his fascination with watches. He told me once that it started with a Panerai he saw in a store window. Nevertheless, these important captains of industry and genius engineers are one of the largest and most important watch loving demographics in the US. These guys buy watches because they appreciate the mechanics and craftsmanship, not because they saw them in a fashion magazine.Like millions of other blogs out there, aBlogtoReadwatches-dealer is WordPress-based. Anyone try to sell their Breitling?
Just curious how you sold yours?I'm looking to buy a Rolex and no ADs I have spoken with take trades with Breitlings. I went over to 47th St, but without buying a new watch, I'm not getting a number I would accept and most of the Rolex sellers there are grey market, which I do not want to buy from.Anyone have any feedback on a similar situation they were in?
Seriously Considering a Breitling
Guys/Gals,I've been considering a switch for a while, and recently started looking at Breitlings. I think they're really fantastic watches. Had one about 6-7 years ago and only sold it b/c the 34mm size started to feel small. At first it was the Colt GMT black dial, but after seeing it in person, the silver colored Arabics just don't pop enough for me against the dark dial. What really caught my eye is the Superocean! Not the one that has just been released, but the predecessor. Really nice! Love the all polished Professional bracelet (the one in the photo below has plastic covering the bracelet so it's hard to see), the white Arabics against the black dial, the heft, etc...nice and chunky I do like the version that was discontinued even before this one, but they're not easy to find NOS.Anyway, this is the one I've tried on....42mm. What do you think? Would love info/opinions/photos, etc regarding the SO.TIA!
DSOTM or GSOTM?
Which is you pick? I am falling towards the grey side but the dark side the award winner Since the grey side is originally from a white ceramic, does that mean it is tougher than the black ceramic ala AP? Btw are they retail at the same MSRP? .. and anyone know why omega purposely left out the common quick-set for the date indicator? Love to learn more and hear your opinions! HAGWE!! .. Jen
SS BLRO Case/Lugs
Can anyone clarify if the case and/or lugs have gotten smaller?
