Perrelet Regulator Retrograde Watch
The people at Perrelet are at it again, dancing the complication jig. This new Perrelet Regulator Retrograde watch mixes a few complications in a way that (to my knowledge) hasn't been done before. You have a retrograde hour display, regulator style separation between the hours, minutes, and seconds (that occupies the main dial), and a periphery style date display. The balance of the elements is quite good. Plus, there is likely to one one (or two) people in the world who have been dreaming for a watch that combines all these complications together. So if no one has been clamoring for a watch like this, what is the point? Well, to look cool. Watches with various different hands and types of dials are visually fascinating. People will look at the piece and ask "what exactly is going on there?" You can see how Perrelet split the watch in to two personalities (as is typical for them to do these days). There is the slightly larger sporty model in titanium that is 43.5mm wide, and a more for

The Watch Industry
As I measured the pulse of my patient utilizing a blue dial timex I observed on their wrist a Rolex. At that particular instant, I began to wonder why one would consider such an extravagant ornament which was, in hind site, approximately 500 times the labor in dollars as compared to my own. It immediately brought me to a short span of time at the end of my uncle's journey. He once said that a gentleman needs two things in the real world. He stated that you need a nice watch and a good pair of shoes. He was a hard nosed business man who owned a steel and textile manufacturing plant and for many years considered my family as one from the wrong side of the tracks. His daily time piece was a steel Oyster Perpetual Datejust Rolex with a blue dial. We had much to learn from one another and to this day I'm thankful to have known him as an adult. That, however, is another story. It was six months ago that I began to read about and compare and contrast the different types of complications and m
Old for new Pepsi?
Hi,Just wondering what your opinions are.I’m keen to get the new GMT Pepsi at some stage and currently own a beautiful year 2000 GMT2 Pepsi. It was originally a Coke but has the Pepsi Insert and original Coke insert plus a new black insert. It has Swiss Made Superluminova Dial but non SEL. (Seems it just got the SWISS MADE Dial but just missed the SEL. A-serial.Condition amazing but there is a small scratch on the minute hand. I only purchased it a year ago, and a local jewellery regulated it for me so keeps perfect time, but I think that’s how it got the tiny scratch on the hand. If I keep it I plan to send to Rolex for a full service and hand replacement (modern hands anyway and full dial lume is good).Would you sell the year 2000 to buy the new one? Or if you kept would you service at RSC?Any views appreciated.(I also have a JC Deepsea and a BLNR)Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
