Watches NEWS
Hands-On: With The New F.P. Journe Octa Sport And Centigraphe Sport In Titanium (Live Pics, Full Spe
When F.P. Journe unveiled his Octa Sports line of watches back in 2011, we (the royal watch collecting "we") could simply not believe how light they were. After all, the F.P. Journe "lineSport" pieces, being the Octa Sport and the Centrigraphe (CTS), were made entirely of aluminum. Yes, aluminum! They were so light, they almost felt fake (seriously). They were not fake, they were just absurdly light, and absurdly cool. In fact, the very first aluminum CTS sold at Christie's for over $467,000. Yeah. That cool. But, all things must evolve, and today we have a look at the new line of sports pieces from Journe C the very same models, but instead of the incredibly lightweight aluminum, they are now in titanium. 2 OF 18 The switch from aluminum to titanium was indeed a structural move. New 44mm ROO or used RM010...
Hypotheroticial question but if both the same price, which one would you guys go for? Let's assume you had the choice of either the SS/FC or the RM010.
Looking for someone to work on Omega 2500 movement
Would you guys suggest to send to Omega or is there someone you can suggest that does excellent work on Omega's? Just want to plan ahead for when I need some work. Thanks,John
Ceragold...
So... My understanding is that the ceragold refers to the bezel only...Is this correct?I was hoping that it would be some kind of gold pvd coating on the case that would make it scratch resistant....I guess not.Seems like Ceragold is just a fancier name, like liquid metal...Still a gorgeous watch...but not as exciting as the name would suggest....Rolex has been blending precious metals and ceramic bezeks for over 7 years now...
1171
I've been wearing my speedy on a leather strap or Nato since I got it a year ago........ always aiming to get a 1171 bracelet. But there has always been that other watch comming up on the radar before getting it. Every time I straped on the speedy thinking what it would look like with the bracelet. Now I know.Glad I got it, and I have to say that the speedy is a real shape shifter C*tool on the Nato, leasure but elegant on leather and vintage on steel, Razzel, dazzel. Thanks for looking.
