Introducing: The Jaeger-LeCoultre Geophysic True Second And Universal Time (Original Video, Live Pics, Full Specs)
Today we will be showing you two new watches. They are new in the sense that they are completely never before seen references, with not only entirely new calibers but entirely new calibers built an entirely new way. But these watches won't shock you – Jaeger-LeCoultre is too clever for that. No, these two watches are a continuation of a theme first set forth by the watchmaker's watchmaker in spring of 2014. It was then that we saw the rebirth of the Geophysic, a classical watch with a specially tuned movement that would provide amazing accuracy and durability without sacrificing elegance. Today, we take this idea two steps further. 1 OF 30 Born out of the concept that has made the original Geophysic such a collectible watch are the two pieces you will find in this story – the Jaeger-Lecoultre Geophysic True Second and Geophysic Universal Time. These watches, unlike the Geophysic 1958 from 2014, will be permanent members of the JLC collection. So, you m
Introducing: The Patek Philippe 5930G World Time Chronograph (Details & Official Pricing)
First things first – no Nautilus was shown at Baselworld 2016. We're told you can expect to see something this October, just as we didn't see any 175th pieces two years ago until later in the year. Now that we have that out of the way, let's talk about the big new commercial piece from Patek, the 5930. This watch combines two of our favorite complications – the world-timer and the chronograph. Similar to the 5524G Pilots Watch from 2015, the 5930 is based on an archival piece from Pateks long and illustrious history. But, also similar to the 5524, this world-timer is a very, very loose translation of the original watch – the 1940 reference 1415 HU, a unique piece seen below. 1 OF 9 Patek Philippe reference 1415 HU, a unique piece from 1940 on which the 5930G is based. As you can see, the new 5930 doesn't look much like the 1415 HU. We have a 39.5 mm white-gold case and busy dial that displays a truly extraordinary amount of informatio
Panda strap to bracelet change NOT possible ???
I went into my AD this aft. to swap out the strap from my Panda to an OEM bracelet for the summer. Now I have never had this bracelet on the Panda but have switched in on and off my diver several times when I had it. After waiting for 30 minutes the AD service tech comes in and to my surprise tells me that he cannot get the bracelet to attach. He removed the plots and the strap and the bracelet seems to be a perfect fit (its OEM) into the plot openings but when he goes to put the screws in they dont fit and do not seem to go all the way through to the plots in order to secure the them.Am I missing something ? Are there different screws needed for this ? Why would the bracelet easily attach to the AP diver and not a Panda....same case, same size? Please help TIA !
Would the 5711 with no date look better than the current model? (poll)
I'm not sure if this has been discussed. I've been on the hunt for a blue face 5711. The watch seem almost perfect...except for the date. I feel that the watch would be better looking, more symmetrical, without the date.Does anyone else feel this way? If you had the option to get the 5711 with no date, would you?
