Event Recap: An Evening With Bremont Watch Company And The New Supermarine S2000
Last week we spent an evening with Bremont Watch Company at New York City's Ace Hotel to give HODINKEE readers a closer look at the new Supermarine S2000. Bremont Co-Founder Nick English was on-hand to answer questions over drinks and hors d'oeuvres, along with a massive collection of Bremont watches.?We already gave you a closer look at the S2000, but there is nothing like speaking with the man behind the watch. Nick English treated our guests to a brief presentation explaining the history of Bremont, his family's deep connection with aviation and performance engineering, and what drives him to create Bremont watches.?Please enjoy the above video and photos from last week's festivities. We hope you see you at the next HODINKEE event. 1 OF 7 2 OF 7 3 OF 7 4 OF 7 5 OF 7 6 OF 7 7 OF 7
RO or ROC scratches
Hi Guys, wondering your experiences with scratches on either model in precious metal. I have some marks on the bottom of my bezel, and i cant decide if they bother me or not.
Couldnt resist ... 15202
Been on the list for a 15400st for a while in London, but when I popped in and they had the 15202 I tried it on and immediately traded by Rolex Deep Blue + cash for this beauty!Apols for photo quality.... what a classy watch. Love it.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
potential first AP purchase
Hi everyone, I wanted to get your opinions on something.. considering a 15400st grey dial from a local watch store.. they're not an AP AD but they're a rolex, breitling etc AD.. they have a pre owned 15400st for sale for $13k but no box or papers! Is it worth getting without b&p or should i wait and spring for one with.. but that price just seems really good... I havent seen the watch or any 15400's in person yet (was talking to them about steel sky dwellers and they mentioned they had that grey 15400)... but all the pictures i've seen and feedback on the 15400st has made me really like it and want one! it would be my first AP watchOriginally I was considering the 42mm ROO's.. but had a couple opportunities to try them on and it just didnt do anything for me... was also considering the RO chrono panda, love that dial, but is it worth springing more money for? 15400 seems like a classic and in house movement is always a plus so is it worth spending more for a chrono and non AP movem
ROO with a suit
Hi all,I just tried on a 44mm ROO 26400 with a suit - it didn't really work for me. Not sure if it's because the white dial looks super sporty, or whether it was the size. The 44mm fits my wrist, but it just didnt work with a suit in the way a 15400 would for example. Does anyone have any wrist shots of their ROO with a suit? Would the 42mm be a better option? I am looking for something I can wear both with business casual (suit with no tie, suit with a knitted jumper during winter, etc) and on weekends and will be in rotation with a GMT Master II. Really want a ROO but need to find the right one which works Thanks!
