Watches NEWS
Picture thread. AP spotting
There is a long ongoing photo thread on the general Rolex forum with celebrities or other famous/well known people wearing Audemars Piguet so I thought it was time for that thread over here as well! :-)Kicking it off with a photo I just saw over at paneristi, one of the regulars is a photographer and this is from a magazine cover shoot with Dr Sanjay Gupta. The good doctor obviously has great taste as he is wearing a Panda. [Photo cred: Brad Trent, on the left in the photo]
15450st vs jumbo
Hi guys,I'm looking to buy my first Ap. I went to the boutique in Paris and tried one a few models just to look for the correct size. Is the 39mm too big for me or does it fits nicely?15450st retails for 16.800 vs the jumbo ss at 21.300.I've been looking on the grey market and you can find the 37mm new unworn for about 12-13k. Big price difference. What do you guys think, save some more and get the jumbo or should I get the 15450st.
1st OMEGA - PO 8500 XL ON RUBBER - W/ PICS
I got my Planet Ocean 8500 XL about a week ago and its been pretty hard to take it off. I spent a lot of time debating between the XL and the 42mm. Up close, I really couldn't see too much difference. But when standing back about 6-10 feet, I could really appreciate the difference and knew the XL was the right choice. The next debate was between the bracelet and the rubber strap. I don't see too much of the strap around on the forums and to me that is a shame. It is easily the nicest rubber strap I have ever tried on. The only one I'd say is close to it is the one on the UN divers. The deployant on the rubber strap is also superb. I cannot really describe what it is about the rubber strap but for some reason I can just appreciate the details of the face of the watch more on the strap versus the bracelet. For those who have said the watch wears smaller on the rubber - I wholeheartedly agree. It also takes a lot of weight out of the watch and I like how it really doesn't look like rubber.
PO Model# questions...
2908.50.38 vs 2908.50.83this is on the 45mm version, there are similar differences with the 42...the above models both are 45 po orange bezel with orange strap, i cant see any differences, can anyone explain the differences please?thanks...
Black Bay on Everest
Just made my first foray into Everest rubber straps, and I have to say I’m impressed. I think I like it more than the original leather or cloth straps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
