Help in dating a vintage AP royal oak
HelloI have come to acquire an old steel AP royal oak that I have been trying hard to date unsuccessfully. The back of the case simply says No 813 (with no A B or C etc series letter). It has the old vintage full metal folding clasp with the steel inox swiss made embossed on it, and the rare tropical dial that developed over time. However the case is small, around 34 mm with the AP logo at 12 o'clock and not 6, so it is not the first A series jumbo. Any help in dating it and finding out if it is truly a collectible item?I can send pics if it helpsThank you
Saturday cruise with the new FC...
Me and the wife took the Vette out for a nice Saturday cruise... I dangerously decided to to snap a few shots of my new FC. The Last shot, my wife took... Ummmm... hunny, you were supposed to get the watch IN THE PIC.
SM300 clasp on PO8500
Have struggled with the PO for over a month. The lack of micro adjustment is a real pain in the wrist. My AD ordered me the SM300 clasp and installed it today. Watch fits so much better and feels better balanced on the wrist with the larger clasp. May not flip this one now.
Specifying a unique PP
So let's say hypothetically Mr Stern rings you up and says we will make a unique piece for you. Here are the rules:1. You must pay for it. 2. You must promise to keep it. 3. You must promise to wear it. 4. Can be any current reference or one stopped in the last ten years. Let's have your suggestions. Mine is 5970 in steel or titanium with black face, red chrono needle (a la 5004t) and Breguet numerals. If they can put the split second movement in the 5970 case that would be great too!
Christmas presents
A bit late, but after the rush of Christmas, I have finally sat down to play with my Christmas watches from my partner. My latest incomings, glad to have the LV back in the fold, as it is one watch that I loved and regretted selling. First time for a DJ 36 and actually its the one watch I have worn over the most of Christmas a wrist shot from Christmas day.
