Interview: F.P. Journe On The New Women's lgante Line
I had the pleasure of sitting down with Mr. François-Paul Journe to discuss the brand's new line of Women's watches, Élégante, and it was awesome.First of all, I would like to preface this article by saying that I did not think I would like this collection. When I first heard that the watch has a quartz movement, I think I rolled my eyes. BUT to my great surprise, I was very impressed with the pieces in person and now I want one for myself. 1 OF 9 The watch is everything its name suggests – elegant. The trademarked flattened Tortue case comes in platinum, red gold, and titanium. The titanium version comes with or without diamonds, which is a refreshing choice to have. All of the watches come with a sporty rubber strap with folding clasp in six colors: white, rose, light blue, midnight blue, chocolate, and khaki green. The dial is easy to read with Arabic numerals and a luminous dial. The titanium version is super lightweight and is very
AP 15202 vs 15300/15400
I know this is probably a sin to even mention it, but how many of you guys prefer 15300/15400 models over the classic 15202. Regardless of the price, if all being equal and you had a choice between brand new 15202,15300 and 15400, which one would you pick.I personally am on the fence. I tried 15202 several times and it never sang to me bad enugh. Not sure about the missing seconds hand, the thinner bracelet, no quickset date (which bothered me when I had to adjust it) and a few other issues I have with fragility, non screw-in crown and dial details. I really want to love it. Not yet. Maybe a few more tries...What about you?
'64 Omega is rattling..what could this be?
Decided to wear my Omega cal 600 from '64 today since I haven't worn it in about 6 months. While holding it, I couldn't help but notice that it was making this audible, and quite loud(to me, at least) rattling sound. It was like a ting ting ting sound from the balance wheel that would go on and on, stop, and then start again. The watch has done this for a while even before today. ironic thing is, I had it serviced(I use that term loosely) in NYC in November of 2015. it had this sound before service and ever since i picked it back up. Obviously the service wasn't really done correctly, right? Whats causing this?

20 year old submariner stops ticking
hi folks,I have a 1998 submariner, 16610. It served me well for the past 2 decades.I bought it brand new from A/D.This morning I noticed it had stopped ticking since I had not worn it in a week.I wound it up and got nothing. The 2nds hand will not move forward. If you look closely at the 2nds hands, it seems to be struggling to move forward but can not.The watch was not abused or dropped or subjected to shock. Not now, not in the last 20years of ownership. It jut died, kind of like an old man. Also, the watch has never been serviced. So can someone tell me how severe this problem appears to be? What on the insides of the machinery might be causing this?thank you
