Bring a Loupe: A Gorgeous Rolex GMT, A Rare Patek Philippe Perpetual Calendar, A Rolex Tru-Beat Refe
This week will be dedicated to watches with complications. We start big with the Patek Philippe reference 1526, the first perpetual calendar produced in series, mostly during the 1940s. We will also look at a Rolex GMT with a killer bezel, as well as a Rolex Tru-Beat with a lovely ticking second hand. Finally, we've got a couple of examples of everyone's favorit complication, the chronograph, from a Heuer Carrera to a blue Hamilton Chrono-Matic. This is your Bring A Loupe for April 8, 2016. Help a girl choose - DJ TT or Black dial w/ Diamonds?
Hi, I usually read but rarely post... seems a lot of posters here are male, which is great. I have polled my girlfriends, so it will be interesting to hear some male opinions!Help me choose - I currently have a 31mm very simple silver dial for everyday wear. I am looking for a dressier Rolex, so I have narrowed it down to the 36mm DJ black dial with diamonds, or two-tone DJ with white dial. They are both approximately the same price.I want something that is eye catching and dressy as my current Rolex is quite simple. Some of my considerations:I don't have any yellow gold jewelry and I tend to choose white metals. Both my Love and JUC are white. However, I find myself drawn to the two tone as it screams classic Rolex to me. Do you agree with this, in your opinion is the two tone more classic and timeless than all white?I'm not sure if yellow gold would even complement my skin tone... opinions please?I don't want a watch that looks too similar to the one I currently have.I love diamonds on
Don't eat the yellow snow
Just a warning for the weekend. And as one person said; ?Don’t you eat that yellow snow, that’s where the huskies go?. Classic winter weather and a classic untouched, sharp Submariner - with classic proportions.
Aaron Faber
Aaron Faber Gallerys is a rip-off.They have a website: Aaron Faber clearly engages in highly questionable disreputable business practices:For instance, Aaron Faber offer, for nominal annual fee a so-called Collectors Club which allegedly offers a range of services to the serious collector. Arron Faber want people to pay a so called nominal annual fee for privileges that are basically worthless.Ed Faber touts himself as some kind of legend. However, his reputation based on excellent reliable sources is highly questionable. From a bona fide customers perspective he engages in the most ruthless of sharp business practices. From a bona fide customers perspective Ed Faber of Arron Faber engages in the most ruthless of sharp business practices treating his customers with total contemptible disrespect. In my opinion, I would seriously caution anyone to stay away......well away of Aaron Faber. I personally know someone who has been taken down by Ed Faber and Aaron Faber to the tune of tens of
