Junghans Meister Telemeter Watch Is Going For Distance! And Going For Speed!
With their latest timepiece, the Meister Telemeter, Junghans is indeed going for distance, and speed. And yes, I couldn't help myself�C when I realized the watch had both telemeter (for distance) and tachymeter (and speed) scales, well, that particular Cake lyric popped into my head (and managed to stay lodged there for a good bit as well). Fortunately for you and me, there's more than just a catchy pop reference to talk about with this watch.At first glance, I quickly gathered that this was indeed retro-styled. Further reading reveals that it's actually retro-inspired as well. Junghans has a history in timing, with their first tachymeter scale watches appearing in in the 1930s; jump forward to 1951, and you find watches from the brand that had an additional telemeter scale added on.It's from this 1951 model that the latest release draws inspiration. Got a Message from a forum member that he has a bracelet for me (I had posted something on the WTB). The charm of the safari had always been the brown strap. This looks like a completely different watch.......but I am liking it. The weight is now substantial and feels great on the wrist. Honest opinions and thoughts please. My Dad's Breitling
I have my Dad's Breitling, Navitimer, of course it's not working but it is from the 1950's or early 1960's. On the case it's stamped Breitling, Stainless steel and the number #806. Of course it's a chronograph, the dial is black and it looks like the hands and hour markers at on time might of glowed. I would of asked about it years ago but I just happened upon it today when I was cleaning out a cabinet..........If anyone has any information I would appreciate your thoughts, comments and input!!!I did Google Breitling-Navitimer and the dial configuration matches the dials from 1954 to 1955 with the AOPA incorporated in the Wing on the dial with the Breitling name on the back of the case with the number #806. The Breitling name does not appear on the dial just the name Navitimer above the bottom sub-dial.......

well this is an interesting way for me end the year..... I'm on a wait list for a Sub C which is awesome, they told me it should be here with in 3-4 months this was a month ago.but I have a problem now, a mint box and papers Day Date 18238 yellow gold/champagne dial came up for sale from a friend of a friend. He wants 15k Canadian.... If I buy the DD I won't be able to get the Sub... I'm really stuck the DayDate is a grail watch of mine, I always said when I retire I'll get one.
