Longines Column-Wheel Chronograph
Longines started manufacturing timing equipment in 1878 with the launch of a simple 20 ligne column-wheel chronograph, reference number 20H. Over the years, many other Longines chronograph calibers have incorporated a column-wheel mechanism. The new Longines Column-Wheel Chronograph continues this horological heritage into the 21st century. This Longines houses a new caliber developed by ETA for Longines and other brands within the Swatch Group. Fitted with 27 jewels, the L.688.2 movement is a self-winding caliber with a diameter of 30 mm and a height of 7.90 mm. The blued steel column wheel controls the chronograph functions (start, stop, return to zero). The new movement is housed in a classic case from the Heritage collection. The 40mm stainless steel case offers a transparent case back. The gold-plated Dauphine-style hands are mounted above a silvered dial featuring gold-plated applied hour symbols, a small seconds at 9 o'clock, a 30-minute continuous action counter at 3 o'clock an

8500 movement service

16710 P Serial Number Rolex Logo Dial HELP
Greetings, I am relatively new to the forum but found the feedback from my first post quite helpful.Last week I did a trade plus cash deal for a new to me, P Serial Number 16710 (no box or papers). The seller is a licensed Jeweler who has been in the secondary watch market for over 30 years and he has a physical location in the French Quarter of New Orleans. I have known him about ten years and sold him several Rolex as well as he purchases (and pays the best in town) for scrap gold and silver. I trust him, but we can all get fooled...with that said, while looking at my new watch under a strong loupe, I found three items that are giving me mild heart palpitations (please see photos):1. The under line on the L in the ROLEX seems to be wavy, like two bumps before it straightens out.2. Same for the under line in in the E in ROLEX.3. A small white smudge of font under the S in GMT MASTER III hope I am not being too nit picky, but this is a reference I have wanted for years and just want to
