Girard-Perregaux 1966 Annual Calendar and Equation of Time
The La Chaux-de-Fonds Manufacture has unveiled a white gold version of the annual calendar and equation of time from its Girard-Perregaux 1966 collection. This model incorporates a useful annual calendar that takes account of the lengths of the months, save February. Also on board is an equation of time, indicating the difference between the true solar time and the mean time, or meridian time. The functions are displayed on the dial in an original yet highly readable way. As an added touch of sophistication, the calendar can be corrected by turning the crown in either direction. This makes correction easier, and the absence of a corrector on the case leaves its curves intact. The transparent caseback allows a view into the architecture imagined and executed by the watchmakers in La Chaux-de-Fonds, including the Microvar variable inertia balance.Technical specificationsCase in white goldDiameter: 40 mmHeight: 10.72 mmSapphire crystalSapphire case-backWater resistance: 30 metresGirard-Pe
In Celebration Of Jack Heuer's Birthday, We Look Back At The Best Heuer Coverage On HODINKEE
Today is TAG Heuer Honorary Chairman Jack Heuer's birthday, and to celebrate, we're revisiting three HODINKEE articles that illustrate his importance to the brand that carries his name, as well as to watches and watchmaking in general. From early 2013, we have a video in which Mr. Heuer explains the design process behind the Heuer Carrera; from late 2013, we take an in-depth look at the very first Carrera; and from 2014, we have a video Week on the Wrist with the modern TAG Heuer Carrera 1887 Chronograph. We hope you enjoy, and happy birthday, Jack! Jack Heuer Explains The Design Process Behind The Carrera Chronograph, Both Old And New It was Jack himself who designed so many of Heuer's great chronographs through his tenure as leader, and this rare video interview with Jack, he tells us exactly why he designed the legendary Carrera the way he did. He also goes on to tell us about his thoughts on the new 50th anniversary Carrera, which you'll see in

Owning Two Daytona Cs
I've been following the thread on the Daytona C in this forum. Unless I've sort of generalize, it appears that there are a couple of forum members that own both the White and the Black Daytona C based on responses given from queries such as which color to choose or Daytona Club.In this regard, I would like to ask for those members who own both colors for the reasons on buying both. I would say that these members are indeed lucky on getting both colors given the long waiting list and the difficulty in getting even one Daytona C.Great weekend ahead and happy holidays!
