watch info
Hi allBeen an avid watch buyer for some time. Probably can't be described as a collector since I buy purely what I like and don't really consider value in the long term etc just buy for my pleasure and I'm too tight to sell them. Couldnt face someone offering me a pitance for something that is or was my pride and joy..Currently have quite a nice assortment.Rolex GMT Ceramic half gold, Panerai 251 (just purchased) Omega 50 year speedy, planet ocean chrono, omega constellation, couple of Rado's, 2 TAG's and some other odds and sods.Yes quite a diverse mixture but all worn frequently and sadly abused.Anyway over the last couple of years wife have been getting more interested in what I've picked out for her and surprise surprise recent she pulled out an old ladies Omega from the bottom of her jewellery box.She got this back in 1970 it is so small I couldn't believe it. Rectangular about 10mm by 7mm so small. It's on a replacement bracelet so don't know hat it should be.She got this from he
Replace my 112 with 510 or 392
I lost my 112 and fancy replacing with something similar but different. I have a 6.75 wrist and got on fine with the 112. I'm tempted by the 392 but hear they are unduly thick and don't wear quite so flat. I'm in New Zealand and can't try as we have only one AD with limited stock so will import via Jomashop.Thoughts?
S/S Sky-Dweller 2nd favourite colour dial and why?
It is my considered opinion that fans of Rolex watches, believe that the blue dial S/S Skydweller is the favourite - similar to the DJ 41. It is also recognised that this particular configuration is extremely difficult to obtain. But which is the 2nd favourite colour and why? What made you choose one variation over the other?Perhaps you prefer either light or dark coloured dial or that one is more easier to read.I would be most interetesd in reading your thoughts, especially from members who have gone through the same thought process.Of course, it goes without saying, that photos are a necessity of each thread, so please feel free to include some.
Submariner Help
I think it's time I added a Submariner to my happy gathering. I've had lots of different Rolex models over the last four years but somehow never a Sub. I think it's time. I'm not going to buy it anytime soon because I'm just so torn between models. I want to take my time and try them all on at an AD. Problem is (as is well documented in several posts) there are no Hulks to try on. I'm certainly not going to pay above MSRP, so that might rule the Hulk out. But I have it down to these three:Submariner with date Hulk BluseyI know there's no wrong answer here and they are all amazing in their own right. But as much as possible I'd love some insight from the experts on here. In particular if someone's owned all three of them. If so, which one gets the most wrist time. Thanks,Mike
