CO-AXIAL Service Advantage ?
I stumbled upon George Daniels the inventor of co-axial.He said that It is intended to sustain the public affection for the mechanical watch during the 21st century.I own a Rolex and has yet to own an Omega. It is not my intention to have a Rolex vs Omega thread but rather focus on the wonders of George Daniels' invention. The co-axial which uses a three palette fork instead of the traditional two.My question is Has co-axial lived up to it's promise as a more robust escapement requiring lesser maintenance/service?Thank you fro your replies
Good non-Speedy Pro Speedy?
Got an itch to give the Speedmaster another try. I didn't bond the last time I got the 3570.50. Plus my BIL just got the Speedy Pro, so don't want to be wearing the same watch every time we have a family get together. So what would be your favorite Speedmaster variant? I do love the Snoopy models, but definitely more than I want to spend, I'd like to keep my outlay around what the Speedy Pro goes for.
Just bought a new 317... Its gaining too much time...
Hello Guys...Just bought a 317 from a member here NIB (Thanks RUpanerai! Great guy!) and am having some problems... In the first 6 hours I had it the pam has gained 30 seconds... So should I worried or is there something I can do to calibrate it properly? Maybe the mechanism has to be broken in?The watch is a P serial.Let me know guys and thanks!JC

TT vs Bi-Metal
I know that for some here the notion of purchasing a TT SS/YG or SS/RG watch isn't appealing due to it only being made partly of 18kt gold. The argument being that a TT buyer can't afford a full gold version so is compensating by getting a model with as much gold as possible. But, I really really find TT watches attractive. The white metal vs the yellow/rose gold metal....color wise....in of itself....just works beautifully.I am a 70s child and a lot of TT were available. When I look at some current Rolex TT models:TT YG/SS Blue SubTT RG/SS Blue YM2TT RG/SS Chocolate YM2The color combinations of the models above...the colors of the various metals....silver/white for the SS part when paired with the yellow or rose gold of the second metal.....that bi metal look....that TT look....I just find incredibly satisfying and really attractive.I was wondering for those in the group of solid gold or ss...if the TT models were actually 100% gold.....ie....WG/YG TT or WG/RG TT...as opposed to SS for t
