Antiquorum Offers Important Rolex GMT-Master with Bathyscaph Trieste Connection
On Wednesday evening December 8, Antiquorum will offer 365 modern and vintage timepieces at its Manhattan headquarters, including a historically significant Rolex GMT-Master that belonged to Lt. Don Walsh who, along with Jacques Piccard, piloted the bathyscaphe Trieste to the deepest point in the world’s oceans. This important Rolex GMT-Master, ref. 6542, belonged to U.S. Navy Lieutenant Don Walsh, the Officer-in-Charge of the Navy’s Bathyscaph Trieste. Lieutenant Walsh and Jacques Piccard piloted the Bathyscaph Trieste to the deepest place in the world’s oceans: the Challenger Deep in the Marianas Trench, 200 miles southwest of Guam. The Trieste descended to a depth of 35,800 feet. Subsequent to the dive, in April 1960, Rolex gifted Lieutenant Walsh a Rolex GMT- Master. Anyone know why speedmasters carry an additional dot over 400 on the tachymeter. Universal did this tooJust wondering why

Hi guys,Which one of these 5119 would you choose and why? I hear that 5119J is in more demand. Is it simply because it is cheaper? Which one is more wearable? I do like 5119G very much but I am concerned that it might look too boring.Appreciate your response.

112 Reserve Question
Would appreciate thoughts on the following: I bought a BNIB 112 this past Friday. I gave the crown 30 full winds Friday evening, and the watch stopped by about 1:00 PM the next day. Saturday evening, I gave the crown a full winding, to the point where I felt resistance in the crown. Sunday afternoon, I gave the crown a few additional winds. The watch stopped at approximately 2:00 AM Monday morning. I though a full winding would give me 48-72 hours. Should I be concerned? Take it back to the AD?
