Zenith Academy Christophe Colomb Hurricane Revolucin Watches For South America
As we've written about here before, Zenith has released quite a watch-making marvel with their ACADEMY Christophe Colomb Hurricane models. Here is a new limited edition set in honor of iconic individuals responsible for government reform and independence in South America. So say "viva la revolucion" with your best Che impersonation and get ready for a very "non people's budget friendly" collection of new stunning art pieces. With a fusee-chain transmission to apply constant force and, a gyroscopic gimbal setup to theoretically negate the effect of gravity on the movement, it's literally an award-winning watch with a new Latin twist. Given the amount of effort involved in creating these pieces, it's no surprise, then, that we're treated to small-run limited editions in the lineup.Their latest release heads down to Central and South America, with tribute being paid to Simn Bolvar (ref. 40.2213.8805/36.C714), Ernesto Che Guevara (ref. 18.2214.8805/36.C713)?and Emiliano Zapata (ref. 34
Introducing: The Heritage TAG Heuer Monza, A Throwback To One Of The First PVD-Coated Watches Ever M
TAG Heuer showed it had no intention of forgetting its racing heritage when they launched an online competition to pick out the next Autavia. And on the first day of Baselworld, they confirmed we would be seeing a lot more vintage-inspired chronographs, with a re-edition of the famous Monza. 1 OF 3 Launched in 1976, the watch was Jack Heuer's gift to Ferrari's Formula One team to celebrate their (then) partner's surprising title-winning season. A win which Heuer felt deserved an exceptional design C and in the '70s a PVD-coated watch certainly hit the nail on the head. 2 OF 3 The latest version of the Monza re-introduces key features from the original, such as the pulsometer and the tachymeter scale, the original font on the dial, and Heuer's pre-TAG logo. However, the new Monza is best described as a combination of the original Monza chronograph C returning to its iconic black and red color scheme and adding vintage orange SuperLuminova C and the 2000

231 and 140 - Why the large price diff.?
Hi,I started looking at the 231 recently as I feel it's competitively priced, however I've come to the conclusion that I prefer the Luminor range over the Radiomir range...I just had a quick search on Chrono24 and the price difference between the 231 (the cheapest gold Radiomir) and the 140 (the cheapest Luminor) and the Luminor is almost twice as expensive as the 231.How come? Is more gold used in making the 140? (I've never worn a Radiomir, so not sure on size difference IRL)//nejo
