You may have already read Ben Clymer's thoughts on the upcoming (May 14th) Phillips "Start-Stop-Reset" auction, which is populated with an almost improbably rich collection of 88 of some of the rarest, most interesting, and most desirable vintage stainless-steel chronographs out there (the offering's so spectacular it's a little unsettling). Phillips has another auction the day after, as well: "The Geneva Watch Auction: Three." The latter isn't themed but that doesn't mean it isn't also full of some really interesting and unusual timepieces, so we sat down here at HODINKEE to do a little window shopping and see which ones from each auction we'd pick if we had the kind of war chest we dream of having. So I've been waiting for the ad in uk to confirm the waiting time of my grey rubber strap. Today saw these at a store and the seller told me this is the same quality as AP strap but I personally thought the quality wasn't good wonder what's your thought and experience is it true that they make strap for AP? It was number 10 of 10 and the last one of its kind in the world. It can be taken home for $ 325,000 U.S. I also saw a regular Omega Tourbilon with a 14K case and band for only $99,000. It has a kind of rounded antique looking bracelet that reminded me of an old Constellation. Hi GuysYou know you don't normally get calls from your Rolex dealer and when they do call you, it is usually to tell you that your watch has arrived. Well, I got a missed call from my favorite dealer yesterday. Since there is only one watch that I am waiting/on the list for, I thought OMG, my White dial Daytona C is here!!!. I called back on the owner's cellphone. He answered and said I got good news for you, young man!, You are first on the list for the new SS GMT II if you want it!. Honestly.. I was a... little disappointed, but it was ok. After all, it has only been about 8 months since I got on the waiting list. So I put a small deposit down and now I am first to get the Rolex SS Pepsi I just hope the Daytona doesn't show up too soon
