Ebel Classic Hexagon GMT Rose Gold Watch: Two Times Done Well
The last few years have been a bit of a revitalization period for Swiss Ebel watches. The prominent brand was growing a bit staid, and it needed some new exciting watches, especially men's watches. So it brushed the dust off of it's classic hexagon case (you know, it roughly has six sides), and started releasing some new models. The new and larger watches are typified by the case shape and five screws, often with then faceted hands. The good looks of the watches combined with some serious marketing efforts have really helped Ebel out. One of the things that I really like about their designs is the simplicity. A few of the watches are a bit more "out there" in appeal, but this Classic Hexagon GMT watch really epitomizes simple good looks. Seeing the watch itself is the true convincing element to appreciating the timepiece. The case is slightly rounded not to look flat, and the size of the larger version is impressive. Royal Oak 15400 - DSLR Daytime Shots ***Updated 1st May 2013***
Sorry, the previous thread, the pics links were moved so I have to re-post this thread. So this is the updated thread after I re-link them. Now it's working. I got some time today to spare so I whipped out my Nikon DSLR and tripod and started to shoot these. Almost all of my shots of the AP RO15400 that I posted in this forum have been captured with my Galaxy Note mobilephone cam so far. It's surprising how clear and sharp the pictures often turn out to be. Yet, as good as camera-phones have generally improved, it's still not adequate enough to challenge DSLR for really detailed close-up shots or low-lighting shots.Such as this :As a recent watch collector, I see my timepieces as not just mere watches but work of art that I can wear on my wrist, which especially in Haute Holorogie timepieces like Audemars Piguet, they are all finely crafted and meticulously furnished for our enjoyment.This is my 4th album of this watch and the first to use only DSLR. A cold snowing Boston...
Not sure if you guys are gamers or into gaming but I am currently at Boston exhibiting at a huge gaming event PAX East. People said I was crazy but I could not and have not taken my AP off so I took it along for the ride.
