My First Speedy...
Circa 1983 - 145.022
Finally found Dad's 168.005 Constellation
I'm typically lurking over on the Rolex Vintage side; but, wanted to share a picture of my father's long lost Omega Constellation ref. 168.005 with a caliber 564 under the hood. Just got back from a cleaning and oiling and it's keeping extremely accurate time as one should expect from one of Omega's workhorse chronometer movements. On the way back from Vietnam by way of Hong Kong in mid 1967 my father bought this Constellation and a stainless steel Seamaster Chronograph with a cal. 321 which I have posted on this Forum previously and wear periodically. The Constellation has been hidden away for quite a long time and just recently surfaced. I just sourced The NOS 9 row BOR gold plated bracelet from Ted's Vintage Watches and while the gold isn't a perfect match; I'm liking the original look a lot. My First Panerai - Pam 610
Dear fellows,Yesterday I ordered my first Panerai, 610, from an AD. I'm excited and will post a couple pics when it comes this week, but a quick question..I searched here.. But, there isn't much posting or talk around 610 that looks like 610 is not a popular watch here.. Does anyone know why?? Is it just too old or too plain perhaps?
Stolen!! Rolex Sky Dweller Yellow Gold
My home in downtown Miami was burglarized on 1/23/2018 and my Rolex Sky Dweller was taken. It is a new model with gold bracelet and champagne dial w arabic numerals. The watch was almost new with some plastics still on it. Serial 301428Y7 as they did leave box and card. I am offering a reward if found and will remain anonymous. Also any suggestions as to what i should do would be appreciated.
16570 Crystal Question
Over the last almost 6 months, I have had been on a roller coaster of issues on my 16570 service. Looking back at it, I would have done a variety of things differently, but it was an important lesson learned....So after getting my watch back I instantly realize something is off. Is this crystal mounted too high? What are your guys thoughts....I would hate to send it back..again..but this does not look correct.
