A Look Back: The 3 Biggest Surprises at SIHH 2014
I know, I know, you are supposed to expect the unexpected. Even so, I did not expect what Baume & Mercier, Greubel Forsey and Cartier unveiled at this year’s watch fair in Geneva. Here is a look back at the three biggest surprises of SIHH 2014 – as we’re all looking forward to the surprises that SIHH 2015 might offer next January.1. Baume & Mercier Clifton 1892 Flying TourbillonOf the 16 brands at the show, the last one you would figure to launch a $57,000, 30-piece limited-edition flying tourbillon wristwatch would be Baume & Mercier. After all, its niche is affordable luxury, with watches priced primarily in the $1,500-to-$5,000 range. Nevertheless, its show headliner was a new rose-gold Clifton wristwatch featuring a flying tourbillon. The tourbillon is made for B&M's sister company in the Richemont Group, the movement producer Val Fleurier. Problems with AP RO 15400!
Hi everyone. My newish AP RO 15400 has an issue. One of the screws on the front face seems to have come loose. The screw sticks up above the bezel. (it's the screw at the 4) I don't want to try to screw it back as these screws are high polish and the bezel seems to be cut for the screws. Should I just take it to the boutique? I bought it on the grey market but it was purchased from a boutique in October of 2012.Could this affect the water proof seal? Thank you.
Speedmaster Professional 750
Hello,I am usually in the Rolex forum but I have recently been fascinated with looking at Omega models, especially the Speedmaster etc. A lot to learn I fear.I am partial to gold (I know I know) and have recently seen on one of the known sale sites a Speedmaster Professional 750 gold from 1995 limited edition number xx/250.Can anyone pleas give me any insight into this piece, I.e. Why it was manufactured, or for what anniversary etc.I appreciate that Speedmaster have a long and varied rich history and indeed it was the launch of the CK2998 recently that caught my eye to Omega. The code is 319 450 00Any information would be grateful and helpfulBestSimon
