Is this a patek? If so any idea what model?
Hi all, a friend's father used to collect old pocket watches. He claimed that this is a Patek. I don't know very much about either pocket watches or patek. What do you think? I'll try to get more photos.
3940 thoughts
Hey everyone, hoping to get some feedback. For a while I had been thinking of picking up a 3940 in either p or g, as I am generally partial to white metals. However, after picking up a 5110p, I'm looking for a different look in the collection. So now, I'm hoping to get some feedback on the 3940j vs 3940r. There seems to be quite a few more j's available...were they produced in greater quantities, or just less desirable today? Anybody have one or both that could offer up an opinion on either? Thanks in advance!
How do you centre the clasp on your 5167a?
So I have made the decision to get another strap, after the first one is a bit too snug.Just wondering about balancing the watch and clasp - do you have the same number of bars on each side, or more on the 12 oclock compared to the 6 oclock side?Any feedback appreciated.
Rolex 16570 For a Chef?
Hi! This is my first post here and my first potential Rolex purchase. I have been collecting watches for about 3 years now, mostly vintage Enicar sherpa guides and other chronographs. I have a speedy Circa 1995 which I love because of the vintage look of the aged tritium but it's more modern reliability.I am a professional chef so I really only have the opportunity to wear my vintage watches 2 full days a week which keeps some out of rotation for a long time. I really love the 16570 explorer II and am considering to purchase one as my daily watch to wear to work. I currently use a Seiko skx, which is fine, but would like to step it up a bit.I see photos of this reference with either: a) white looking hands and markers b)Cream aged markers but white hands c) both aged hands and aged markers.Being a vintage lover I like the idea of the Watch having the possibility of developing patina in that way and reading the time in the dark isn't a big issue to me.I know of 2 for sale right now th
