Last month in New York City, TAG Heuer celebrated the launch of their Carrera - Heuer 01 chronograph with a spectacular event featuring new brand ambassador Tom Brady. The Carrera - Heuer 01 is a milestone watch for TAG Heuer. Besides being a manufacture automatic chronograph at a very attractive price, it is a major product launch for the brand's new CEO, Jean-Claude Biver. New vs Vintage Speedy
Are there any differences, aside from the movement c321 to c1861, between the speedmaster that landed on the moon and the modern 3570.50.00? I'm talking aesthetics like in size, dimensions, material, weight, lettering placement on the dial, etc... Just curious, besides patina how can one tell from a picture between vintage and modern?

First Panerai - 01000?
I'm deep in the Panerai research after trying on a few on vacation earlier this week. I don't want to drop a lot on one (at least now), which is just as well because I really only prefer the plainest dial versions. I tried the Duo and a couple of others, including an auto, but I really want a manual wind version.I originally stumbled across the 00112 online, which seemed pretty perfect, though out of production now and it seems hard to find. So would the 01000 be a decent option in its stead? I guess my question is, of those two, which should I buy based on the long-term (I plan to keep what I acquire).What I haven't quite deciphered yet is the movement in the 01000.

Whats the best leather/rubber straps
Does anyone have a recommendation for leather and rubber straps for my GMT's? I see a lot of talk about the Everest straps. Are they worth the money? I just have a hard time paying that much for a rubber strap. Any other brands out there that one would recommend? Or just bite the bullet and buy an Everest? What about leather?thanks people :)
